That's not how protesting works at all. You LITERALLY have government given rights that prevent that sort of thing from happening, so long as you follow a few simple rules, like don't stand on anyone's lawn.

And that simple, and yet seemingly challenging, difference is what people don't understand. If you want to protest peacefully then please do so, since it's a right enforced by law. But when rocks start flying and stores get looted you can bet your ass that I'm rooting for the cops to break as many bones as possible.
