Ok, so let me explain this a bit. London is currently preparing for the olympics, and that includes olympic-sized terrorist defence. This jet is one of four stationed at a place called Northolt, and they needed to test whether they could actually take off on a runway not used for fighter aircraft since world war 2, and as you can see they take off fine, no safety risks at all. None.
We also have missiles on civilian rooftops.

Well long as they keep those fighter jets at sub-sonic speeds...

London is pretty much occupied by the military. There's radar SAM batteries, marksmen in helicopters, jets, the aforementioned rocket launchers and ammo caches outside buildings. Also, noise marines.

All this anti-air gear is going to be really useful.
