Re: Image Dump (Caution Lots of Images)
Are your eggs really that toxic over in [insert foreign country here]? Or are your immune systems just retarded because you didn't eat enough dirt as a child. Anyway, as long as you wash the shell you should be alright, and make sure its free ranged, they're 'less likely' (1-20,000 chance of Salmonella on the outside of the shell of an average battery hen) to be diseased ridden.
Hm? Oh, I own a few chickens, don't judge me.

And beyond that, who cares whether or not he gets salmonella? Because nobody should ever use that prank ever. It's dumb and awful. You'd have to be a true asshat to trick someone like that.

Re: Image Dump (Caution Lots of Images)
I think everyone was objecting to the fact that you were implying that eating a raw egg would be fatal, when that's pretty clearly not the case. Never mind the fact that, you know, once someone had actually bitten the chocolate and realised it was a real egg they'd stop eating it.
You'd get some bacteria in your mouth to start with yeah, if they were even in the egg in the first place which wouldn't necessarily be the case, but presumably you'd spit out a fair portion of them. So nobody would die from this prank unless they were allergic to eggs, at which point you wouldn't give them a chocolate coated egg in the first place.

Re: Image Dump (Caution Lots of Images)
My point was you could get salmonella. Even if you spit it out, you'd still swallow small bits of egg shell and yolk.
My second point is that if you actually pull that prank on someone, you wouldn't be a master prankster. You'd be an ♥♥♥hole of the highest degree and would need to be shot.

How was the egg in the image clearly raw?

Re: Image Dump (Caution Lots of Images)
You're really not all that likely to get salmonella from raw eggs unless you are elderly, a child or have some kind of immune deficiency, especially if you don't eat the whole thing. Maybe if you didn't keep them in the fridge or bought them from Poundland or something, but that means you're going to poison yourself as well when you eat the rest. It won't taste nice but it won't kill anyone. And it's really no worse a prank than most pranks, honestly. I don't see how tricking someone into biting an egg is worse than many other pranks I can think of, it is actually impossible to pull pranks into tricking and embarassing someone, that is the entire point of a prank.

That said, one clear problem with the prank is that, as the prankster, you are very likely to get egg spit at you.

@Chao You're also not all that likely to die from skin-eating bacteria, or getting mauled by a bear. It still happens. No matter how unlikely, the off chance that it's possible still makes it reckless and stupid.
@ Ocia The visible difference between raw and boiled eggs is very clear. You can tell it's raw if you just look at the picture.

Re: Image Dump (Caution Lots of Images)
The only eggs in the picture other than the stock photo are obscured either by chocolate or chocolate and tinfoil. And I don't see any indications that the stock photo is raw.

I'm surprised one image managed to spawn a little discussion.
Woot.
