Re: The Lounge
The definition of phobia is a fear without any rational basis though, so not having a phobia of anything is actually perfectly rational Not a fan of wasps myself, despite never having being stung by any insect ever Natti wrote: I don't have any phobias, but I get really distressed in small spaces such as elevators. And I nearly faint every time I get an injection or see a picture of an injection / someone being injected. How the hell is that not a phobia? That's more extreme than most phobic reactions, especially if just pictures work

Oh, I think I may have gotten a very wrong picture of phobias then. Well,

Small enclosed places, needles, crowds other people and cockroaches (Spiders don't count, living in Australia gives you a reason to be afraid of spiders).

Our government.
Also the fake Facebook accounts for our prime ministers. They nail the stereotypical Australian swearing patterns.

Re: The Lounge
Large bugs like those camel spiders or big centi/millipedes in real life would probably scare the crap out of me, but luckily those are rare if present at all in this part of the world. Other than that large heights without a solid railing are also pretty scary and there was this one time where we were watching a documentary on some amazon tribe where as rite of passage they used razor blades to make hundreds of cuts on their backs, then folding over the flabs of skin creating a sort of pattern of scars to look like the scales of alligators. Seeing that I started sweating and got very lightheaded... That wasn't nice...

It's not that I fear them it's just that I'm highly distrustful of escalators. I don't like them.

Re: The Lounge
Being abducted, having my arms and legs removed, my eyes put out, my nose plugged, and my vocal cords removed, and then being constantly abused/raped. Think about that. Just a sack of meat, still fully conscious and thinking perfectly fine. But never able to do anything about what's being done to you.

Re: The Lounge
So, today I had a 2.5'' piece of bambu skewer removed from my hand/finger. Since it's wood the splinters dug in and they had to cut my hand wide open and pull on it for some two hours. Painful as ♥♥♥♥, especially since the painkillers wore off by the time they stitched me up, but it was pretty cool to watch.

Re: The Lounge
They didn't even want me to watch the procedure, but hell, if I was going to be in there for two hours I might has well reap all the benefits.
I'll try to take a snap when I go to change the dressing this Friday.
