Re: The Lounge
I don't know if you're aware of the IRC joke that Kelas (or "COW ASS", as pronounced by DSMK2) sounds like a girl

Re: The Lounge
I forgot all about that. I was just thinking it's exactly like how Kelas acts and looks in my head.

Re: The Lounge
Should I get God of War 3 for 30$, or preorder God of War: Ascension for 60$?

Re: The Lounge
God of War:3, it's pretty awesome and there's fairly cheap packs and dlcs for it. The multiplayers good and there's some lag fests but what game doesn't have that server?
Btw PC or 360?

Re: The Lounge
In related news, any of you guys have any phobias? Mine are needles. I cant stand the sight of them. I have to have my eyes bandaged if I have to have a injection. And on a unrelated note.

Re: The Lounge
I'm afraid of a bunch of stuff, but the only real phobia I have is weird. Basically, I'm phobic of being stuck in a dark place, with my arms stuck at my sides, and no way to get out. Then I start panicking.

Re: The Lounge
Sometimes fear gets you killed and choosing to completely ignore and not use that emotion can make you a good soldier or killer making self defense more fluent if you think about it.

On the other hand, lack of fear can get you killed too. Its called overconfidence. Seriously though, rather then ignoring fear all together, recycle it into something you can use. Intimidation works surprisingly well, and you don't even need to do anything, other then make others fear you either actively or passively. Actively means you make them fear you, passively on the other hand, is to make them fear you themselves let their imagination do the work and you can sit back and chillax.

Re: The Lounge
Soldiers that don't fear anything would be great back in the days of the World Wars, when the basic strategy was to throw as many people with guns at the enemy as possible. Nowadays if you run in guns blazing with no fear you'll get shot to pieces and accomplish little.

Re: The Lounge
London Olympics 2012 have these babies sat on SAM sites around the city, on apartment blocks, for example, in the event anyone tries to crash the Olympics with a plane. There are also sniper teams. Both on helicopter and on the ground. On helicopter to eliminate pilots. Damn, talk about overkill. Oh wait. There are Eurofighter Typhoons flying overhead too, fully armed.

Re: The Lounge
I don't exactly have a phobia, but I tend to stay the hell away from large bodies of water, since I can't swim. More of "Let's not fall in and die, eh?" than "HOLYSHITWATERPANICPANICPANIC"

Re: The Lounge
I don't have any phobias, but I get really distressed in small spaces such as elevators. And really open spaces too, but not so much. And I nearly faint every time I get an injection or see a picture of an injection / someone being injected.
