That's not how protesting works at all.
You LITERALLY have government given rights that prevent that sort of thing from happening, so long as you follow a few simple rules, like don't stand on anyone's lawn.

Or throw rocks at policemen and/or loot stores. Which oddly people seem to think that is a right when protesting, thus getting mad and trying to sue when arrested.
