Fairy incoming.

Whatever. You decide to just head towards the place where you figure a medical center WOULD be. You begin heading towards the center of the city, from which you're sure you can access whatever part likely contains what you're looking for. You practically leap down the battlement stairs and start run down the central road, and you've almost reached the gate to the center, when...
... a large, glowing white sphere runs smack into you.
"Oof!" You hear a sound like wind chimes as the orb hits the ground. You stop. It sits still for a moment, then rises, seeming to shake itself. The chimes can be heard again. It doesn't seem to have any facial features, but you can feel it's gaze as it floats near you. It seems at the moment to have a long, ribbon-like tail of light, then the shape shifts and it has two glowing wings. Then it changes again, flowing like smoke until it settles into a mist that surrounds the central, pure white orb. It freezes, then you hear a voice that reminds you of the chiming again. "Ah!" It floats excitedly about you, bobbing up and down a bit. "Perfect. You'll do nicely." You're not sure what that means, but you don't have time to argue as the orb perches on your shoulder, the strange light tendrils seeming to grasp and hold tight to you. It's an odd feeling.
"I'm Silmein, and I'll be accompanying you from now on."
Appearance: Green eyes, short cut dark brown hair, tall muscular build. Skills: - Sword Lover (+2 to using swords, -1 to using other weapons) - Strong as Hell (+1 to strength) - Blood Rush (+2 to melee rolls for 2 turns, then -1 to rolls for 2 turns) Wielded: - Magitech Claymore (Metal handle, projects a very large and wide energy blade) - Steel Shortsword Spellbook / Design Portfolio: - Empty Inventory: (3/10 slots) - 2 Healing Potions - Energy Storage Crystal Condition/s: None _______________________________
Silmein, Fairy of Memory (Nighthawk) Appearance: A white orb of pulsating light. Smoky trails of light shift around it, and the pulse of its heart beats exactly every second. Condition/s: Teeny (Cannot be attacked)

Isaac | Arcalane (Roll: 8 ) > Isaac: Gtfo out of the alleyways you silly bastard. Keep heading for the castle. Try and save any defending soldiers along the way, round 'em up and drag 'em along to the castle.
Isaac shakes his head in dismay, then runs back the way he came and ends up back on the main road. He can run along close to the buildings here and still see the castle without risk of... risks. He stops when he sees something blue and glowy moving around ahead, really far away and really really quickly. ============================================= Appearance In five words: Cid Highwind meets Mal Reynolds! A human in his early 30s, 5'11", short black hair, green eyes. Wears a worn-out jumpsuit under an old blue longcoat, with a light chain vest. Skills - Stormgunner: Mastering the use of the fickle Stormguns takes years, but that training pays off... assuming you don't fry yourself in the process. - Stormgun Caster: Isaac uses most of his 'spells' by charging his Stormgun with extra magical effects, rather than straight-up flinging fireballs or whatever. - Fleet of Foot: He can move surprisingly fast when he needs to, whether that's for dodging or running. Wielded - Stormgun: A large, heavy magitech handgun, linked to a belt-mounted power pack via sturdy cable. Very rare, hard to use, and dangerous to everyone. - Stormgun Battery: A heavy magicrystal 'battery', hooked to the Stormgunner's belt. Passively absorbs background magic to recharge itself, absorbs electrical shocks directed at the wielder as well. Book of Storms - Supershock: A supercharged attack from the Stormgun; does more damage. - Chainblast: A special shot that bounces between multiple targets in a chain fashion. - Stormgun Schematics: Essential for the maintenance and manufacture of Stormguns and their power packs. Inventory (3/10 slots) - Goggles: With flip-down tinted lenses, to protect the eyes from the environment or light of stormgun blasts. - Chain Shirt: Well-padded to reduce the chance of being shocked. Only a fool travels without armour. - Mercenary Tags: A set of old dogtags, usually kept in a coat pocket. A memento of past adventures... Condition/s - Stormgunner: +1 to Stormgun attack rolls, significantly reduces chance of lethal mishaps. - Stormgun Battery: +1 to defense rolls against electrical attacks. - Chain Shirt/Fleet of Foot: +1 to defense rolls.

Close. Imagine a slightly younger gentleman, with an incredibly ear-pleasing voice that's EVER SO SLIGHTLY GLaDOS-esque, and you've got it.

(Psygnosis) Tarik Morskorj: [9] Healthy You raise a leg with a rather heavy, large boot on the end of it and roughly shunt the freakish cube away. Its gyroscopes fail for a moment, sending it plummeting to the ground, but its turbines rev and it comes back for a second run, projecting flickering images of dismembered corpses, Steinen, Olvite, and Cherman. For a brief moment, fire lights behind your eyes as you lash out with the improvised Magite bludgeon.
There is a resounding crack and it drops dead, smashing on the cobbles and collapsing in a heap of crackling tentacles and shattered metal. An occasional arc of electricity jumps from the downed contraption. Good riddance to that thing; whoever created it must have had a sick mind indeed.
Vacating the area, you progress towards where the smoke from the blasted gate generator is wafting into the air. A clank and faint wheezing from behind alerts you to the imminent presence of Old Harold. He brought company.
"Harold! Good to see you! ...so you're going to fight, are you?" you inquire.
He nods slightly, makes a motion to pause the conversation, and coughs up a few drops of blood into a handkerchief. Behind him are what dregs of the Chermanshire resistance he managed to rally at the Broken Drum.
There's Horace, the grim, dour, perpetually serious scribe and occasional insufferable magic bastard, who was always working in the sorcerer's quarter to cipher runes or some other fiddly job. As far as you could tell from years of observing the Broken Drum's clientele, he didn't get out much. Though he never did explain the story behind his missing eye... and that faded picture of a strange woman he keeps carrying about.
There's Geldmann, the small-time con man and confidence trickster, who has escaped punishment from official authority solely on the grounds of, and this is a direct quote from the guard, "E' makes me laugh, that chap does." His appearance can be described as average and unremarkable in every respect, making him difficult to pick out from a crowd, and he has an uncanny talent for barefaced lies and persuasion (as measured in hapless people swindled). Looks like he's trying to do something good for once before he gets killed by Stein or Olvitium.
There's Anthony, who had passed out the other day after "overindulging" in the Chermanshire ambrosia, the young army recruit who still pissed his pants at the thought of a fight, barely a man now. That sap always did get drunk before he got any women. Idealistic as well, enough to believe that a war for Chermanshire was worth fighting. You know better.
And lastly, there is a fat, old man you don't recognize, who looks at you hopelessly with sad eyes. Probably just some poor person too slow to run and too dumb to avoid getting caught up in the fight. He hefts a smith's lump hammer with the determination of someone expecting to die.
Somewhere behind you, the guttering remains of the cube project a face, twisted with hate. Its rotors begin to spin again as its cracked casing stitches itself back together...
Appearance: A bullish face with a boxer's nose that has been broken a few too many times. He has green eyes under a jutting brow and has a shaven head. Standing a little over 2 meters, he was well known for his rough treatment of technology - often being given the most simplistic weapon in a fight. Skills: - Dense: (-1 to Intelligence but +2 to toughness) - Dumb But Lovable: (+1 to Charismatic actions) - Oh Man, You're In Trouble Now: (+1 Intimidation actions) Wielded: - 5x100cm Magite Pole: Nothing more than a metal pole of magically sensitive steel, often used in reinforced buildings. - Slugg Gun: A handgun containing 5 large lead pellets in a repeating magazine. The recoil and weight is such that few can wield it accurately. Most prefer something more 'elegant' - however something has to be said for the ol' Slugg's reliability. Spellbook / Design Portfolio - Slugg Round: Information on how to create slugg rounds. - Clockwork Loader: Information on how to build a clockwork loader for weapons. Inventory: (/10 slots) - Bowler Hat - XL Suit with Morskorj Family Crest - Map of the Local Area Condition/s: None ______________________________
Rotor Seven, Fairy of Ancient Rust Appearance: A small, corroded iron cube, hovering erratically with at least three pairs of helicopter blades spinning every which way. Every few seconds, its curved exhaust pipes belch thick black smoke and showers of sparks. As you inspect it, the closed dome at its front opens and projects a flickering image of a human eye. It is staring right at you. Conditions: Teeny (cannot be attacked)

Re: Magitech: Frontiers
(Roast Veg) Aeos Drintal [3] Flashes of light and energy shoot everywhere as the Olvitium mages unload their spells everywhere. Heavier elementals storm the streets, chasing down citizens, while lighter one such as Air and Fire take to the rooftops, setting fire to buildings and eliminating anyone they see as they pass. The very dangerous elementals very quickly spread out over the rooftops, combining their powers to whip the roofs into a raging firestorm. Even if the fires weren't there, you'd still have to make your way past all the elementals... One of the air elementals sees you, and a sharp gust of air shoots towards you suddenly, and the little blue mote that was following you before darts in front of you. At the last second, the wave of air moves to the left, hitting the stone wall right next to you, and causing it to splinter wildly as fragments of stone spit everywhere. "Oh ♥♥♥♥."
Healthy Appearance: An easily forgettable character. Dark haired, with pale blemished skin and deep blue eyes, slightly hidden by an overgrown fringe. Wears long black robes and stays bare foot all the time. Skills: - Blink and you miss it (Agility +1) - Verbose (Persuasion +1) - Spidey sense (Dodging +1) Wielded: - Long Wandsword - Casting staff - Spiked gloves Spellbook / Design Portfolio - Enchant item - Lightning storm - Teleport - Lift Object Inventory: (2/10 slots) - Encrusted talisman - Pocket watch Condition/s: None _______________________________
Fairy Description: A small ball of aquamarine light, circled by three even smaller motes of similar light. Communicates only in chirps.
