Re: Magitech: Frontiers
Helping random people to get rewards? That's honestly an incredibly stupid idea.
It's about the characters and what they can do for the war effort. A blacksmith or engineer could forge new weapons for the Free Chermanshire Militia. A veteran soldier could train new recruits. The only "reward" you get is that you are one step closer to winning the war, not "Save Timmy from the bad wizards to get a shiny cool ninja sword!!1/12.!"

I wasn't suggesting it I just thought it was weird how it was worded on the previous page. Quote: Whoops almost forgot to mention something!
Now that the battle has begun, the players should start trying to save various NPCs and supplies around the town. These NPCs and supplies are worth strategic points that will be very useful later on in the game. Any-way's I am trying to help Robert. But it seems flail is in Melbourne, so I don't know what we should do.

Re: Magitech: Frontiers
Quote: (Psygnosis) Tarik MorskorjHealthyTarik halfheartedly waves a meaty hand at the flying cube, before beginning the slog towards the edge of town, where the smog cloud announces the imminent arrival of Stein. "Th' last thing I need is some godsdamned tinkerers' toolbox getting in my way," he mumbles, and turns to the cube. "You coming or not, then?" he adds as an afterthought. Perhaps whoever cooked up the little devil had some plan. Or, more likely, not, most of those tinkerers are madmen anyway. It responds by flashing the image of a skull urgently, cycling it through blood red, cold white, and ashen grey, lit by flames. A sickening metallic screeching (like a dying animal) emanates from its core as its sides unlock, flailing with mechanical limbs. One, hooked and cracking with electricity, darts out and pierces your wrist. Your brief scream is cut off by the heavy thump of your body hitting the ground. You see a thing in the blackness, like a human, only subtly wrong. You see that it is draped in filthy rags. A beggar? Then you see its face, streaked with tears and blood and festering pus. Eyelids, ratcheted open by gear mechanisms, to reveal the dull, blackened orbs behind. Its mouth, mangled by hooks and permanently twisted into a toothless leer. You can tell that it wants to die. But its mechanical guts, obviously installed by a master of Steinen craft, pump on, refusing to release the creature from the mortal realm. The cube tells you its name, in a soundless voice that you feel instead of hearing. It is one of the Blanks, the cube says, feeding documents and schematics into your mind. Broken men without a hell. You wake up on the street, with the cube projecting an arrow above your head. It points in the direction of the incoming Steinen forces. Out of the corner of your blurry vision, you see the door of the Broken Drum slam open under the weight of an iron leg. Old Harold has rallied the men to die. cube creepiness = infinite Blank creepiness = also infinite

" Odds are, in this story, things are going to get much worse then that. Eldritch Abominations from the lands between life and death, anyone? Or how about some creatures from the outer planes of reality? There's also the possibility of nightmares from the lands of Mana - the spiritual power Magi use to cast all spells.

Re: Magitech: Frontiers
I don't even know what my Tech-Fairy is. I'm just making things up as we go along.
Also, Old Harold is most definitely going to get killed. unless Psy does something

I can say full heartedly that I'm willing to sacrifice nicolasx's life to save our kind hearted leader and his fourth wall aware fairy. That was a joke.
