If you guys want me to shove this along a little to cause the game to get into the action, I'll do it.

Yeah, that's when the battle was about to begin.

You take the stairs up to the battlements and look around. There are many soldiers, a most of them drawing bows and other ranged weaponry. A few are scurrying between large artillery-turrets and ballistas. You jog over to one of the guys manning the big guns - he looks sure of himself.

Tarik nods, placing a large hand on Harolds shoulder.

He is lost for words. Instead, he checks his Slugg is still strapped to his belt and takes the magesteel pole from the doorway, then exits out into the town. As clouds gather in the opposite skies he feels a tremor of unease. Mumbling to himself, he takes a look around the streets.

It is cold and silent. All the apartments and shops have pitch-black windows, except for one. As you watch, the lantern goes out and the door slams open. A man and his wife flee from their house, taking only what they can carry.

So this is the way that Chermanshire ends, with a bang from outside and a whimper from within.

As you watch the couple run down the street, you hear an uncanny whirring of rotors. A rusted iron cube hovers up to your side and projects an image of a human skull. What the hell is that thing?

Guys. C'mon. It's been 2 days since the last roll was written and A WHOLE WEEK since the first roll was written.

I know sometimes we get social lives or school lives, but a quick post saying so won't go amiss. I don't care if you post thrice in a row saying you have a heap of homework to do. I DO care if you don't say anything. And if you have too much homework you shouldn't be GMing this any way.

He halfheartedly he waves a meaty hand at the flying thing. Before trudging off towards the edge of town, where the smog cloud announces the imminent arrival of Stein.
"last thing i need is some damn tinkerers toolbox getting in my way" he mumbles and turns to the cube "you coming or not then? he adds to the cube" he adds on a whim. perhaps whoever cooked up the little devil had some plan. Or likely not, most of those tinkerers are madmen anyway.

You continue staring at the fog where the thing you saw was.
For minutes, nothing happens.
"Dammit, cmon!"
As if on command, the wind gusts a bit, and the mist is more properly blown a... way...
Oh dear god, that IS a golem. An absolutely massive golem, a good 60 feet tall and made of huge chunks of dark, carved stone. Its "arms" are long columns of the dark stone, carved into huge spiraling drills. Large magical circles shackle its arm joints and neck, leading to crackling leashes of energy that ring around behind it. It's easily big enough to simply walk over the city walls, and from the looks of the thing would have no trouble smashing through the walls to let the smaller forces through.
"Holy ♥♥♥♥..."
