Re: Roll To Dodge : Cooperative - Planning stage
Nobody wants zombies, but I also want to vote against cyberspace or anything like that. Futuristic things and technological stuff give me rashes.
I recommend a fantasy setting. It doesn't have to be medieval, but I hope to not make melee weapons obsolete with a surplus of guns.

Re: Roll To Dodge : Cooperative - Planning stage
I actually like medieval settings without guns, with technology peaking at crossbows. It keeps armour valuable, ranged has some power, melee is fierce...

Re: Roll To Dodge : Cooperative - Planning stage
I think cyberspace is cool, but so is medieval. Maybe a fantasy setting something like that of D&D, where technology has peaked at the crossbow, but there's a lot of magical/exotic/mastercraft weapons and the likes, and magic is prevalent in a lot of things.

Anybody up for high-tech-medieval? If you're wondering what I mean by that, check this pic out: This is a picture from Phantasy Star. As you can see, the guy IS wielding an insanely large greatsword, but the blade is made of ENERGY. This kind of technological stuff I can deal with, simply because it's pretty damn epic.

Uncomfortably so. Why? I think it's a cool idea. Haven't you seen (or read) Star Wars? Lightsabers are practically the same thing. You can't say it's strange. IT IS ONLY COOL.

It is strange. Peculiar. Odd. Weird. Then again, there was a game sort of like that. Medieval technology, not futuristic. The funny thing was, the planet was actually a technologically regressed human colony, so there are rare suits of power armour and the like on the planet. Very strange.

Unless sufficiently advanced science = magic, but that's just shenanigans. I'd have voted Cyberspace, but since that's definitely going to lose, I have little choice to vote the next most viable option. World War 2 RTDTechno Medieval.Hell, we could throw in some Steampunk for a laugh.

Because SCIENCE! And it takes technology to make Magic work in that sort of fashion any. Magitech and all.

Re: Roll To Dodge : Cooperative - Planning stage
Now we just have to determine what kind of SETTING it will be. Will this world be embroiled in war, or assaulted by aliens, or what?
