I could tell I'd get a mention as soon as I read the title.
Sure I'll post my stuff when I have pics and some time.

Re: Music Instruments and the Like
I can play guitar; I used to play woodwinds, but I gave that up because of my shitty teachers. I have a generic acoustic, a broken acoustic, and an Epiphone SG or something. I can sing okay, but like the singer of BTMI, I get nervous about it a lot. I often sing along to my favorite folk and ska songs.

Re: Music Instruments and the Like
I can't actually play any instruments, but I compose stuff every once in a while. Let's see what I can find kicking around...
A lot of my work is done with PXTone, which is made by the creator of Cave Story, so it has a bit of a similar sound to the music from that game. For instance, this uses some of the same instruments as Cave Story: Calm During the Storm I think I've actually posted this one before: Blizzard-Whipped If you played Prison Escape Episode 3 recently, you may recognize the tune here, which is because it's a predecessor of sorts to the theme in that mission: Havoc MK2 This is a remix of a bunch of music from Mega Drive-era Sonic games (cookie to whoever can actually name the tunes it's a remix of): Black Hole Dust
I've also done some playing around with the Ultimate Megadrive Soundfont, which I've been using to make music for a game I was working on. Someday I'll actually finish the game, but in the meantime, here's a couple tracks from it: Main theme A boss theme

Something about their perfect uniformity is really unappealing to me.
Yeah, that's fair enough. The ones I did with PXTone are mostly modified white noise with the occasional sine or square wave, so they sound pretty artificial. The last two songs both use samples from the Mega Drive, and because of how the soundfont is set up, pitch variation is pretty hard to achieve, so they can sound quite fake. My music tends to be very videogamey, because that's what I learned from.

Hmm, depends on the track you're talking about. Chances are it's some form of square wave you're hearing - I use them a lot.

I'm a Piano man, but I know my way around an Ocarina as well (I bought one at some hippy market thinking it looked cool, got home to look up some tabs and found out about the game ) Anyway, I haven’t played in a while, but I'm getting back into it. Starting to learn this,
I love Classical-ish sounding pieces, and I usually wouldn't have a problem playing something like this, but the left hand for this is (while do-able) quite hard.
I can't think of anyway to do this other than bringing the 2nd finger over the 1st and back again like some sort of ninja freak, but for the whole song, over and over again. I may actually have to sit down and (god forbid) practice this.

You should sand/stain the wood. It'll make it look cooler.
Also, I play trumpet, and people tell me I'm a good bass singer.

I have private piano lessons once a week. Been practicing He's a Pirate recently, I can play it fairly well. Mostly I just play classical music, though.
That's not one I would have tried learning myself, but there are some ESPECIALLY good piano pieces in that ost, such as Jitter, Wiosna and Friendship. I want to learn at least a couple of them.

Jitter and Friendship don't provide enough of a challange , and Wiosna is too guitar based. I really wanted to learn Parity, but other than it looking quite daunting, it wouldn't sound the same without the backing.

I play some piano and mess around in Famitracker from time to time. I can play some Friendship is Witchcraft songs
What a coincidence that this topic pops up today....
I play the guitar, have played piano and just got a bass for my birthday. I acquired my second guitar half a year back and my girlfriend instantly claimed the first. So now I have two amazing Ibanez instruments at my side. A BTB670 bass and one of the very last RG550's(Fun fact, my best friend has one of the first, it's nearly 25 years older.) I also have a digital amp modulator, so I can get a ton of different sounds from these instruments.
Look at me being happy with the bass I got 10 seconds ago....
PS, I got the RG for 1/3 of it's original price, I'm not that rich....
