It's funny (in a morbid way) how it will/does probably receive lots of opposition by animal rights activits while, as Foil says, it's probably more 'humane' than the current practices. I don't think I can make up my mind about it, I think I don't even want to think about it. The most humane way imo would be to give animals space outside as well as inside and not bunch them up, but that's likely not economically sustainable (especially not as long as mass industry type farms are still allowed).

why didnt the aliens in the matrix think of that? would have saved them a lot of trouble
