Not on bodyshots, but on headshots it does.
Can still hurt someone a lot with say, a grenade then finish them with smoke though.

Btw are you Maar7en?

Hmm, after about two hours of playing it, I really enjoy it. It took some time to get used to it, but I'm started to get the idea. I suck at driving anything with an engine. The thing I like most is knifing, I got like thirty kills with it so far.

Any land vehicle is extremely easy to drive. Aircraft however, those can be tricky.

What gamemode have you been playing?

Jup that's me.
Every vehicle is easy to use, most are just hard to master.

Oh, I usually play TDM, and "Conquest" sometimes. I'm still trying to understand how most of them work.
It takes longer for me to understand things, my TV isn't HD, so it's a little blurry. Like, if I go to an attachment and look at the description, I can't read it. It really affects the actual gameplay quite a lot.

My KDR is like 60 kills to 180 deaths, mainly because when I see someone, I'll ALWAYS try to knife them.
I hate to say it, but I'm still in the COD mindset of going for kills instead of objectives. I already learned to spam revive, though.

Knives don't work like that and you know it.

You can and will die if you try to knife people without being properly good at it, so just don't bother with it.

After a few more hours of play, I've been getting some quite good games. I use the AK with the Suppressor, Foregrip, and the sight that highlights enemies greenish white (Vampire sight? What is it).

I can actually get more kills than deaths now. So far the best moments I've had is taking out four enemies with the Type 88 LMG, and knifing 5 campers in a row on Caspian Boarder.

Knives are tricky. Knowing this forum, I'm probably one of the very few that play on the Xbox. It has the most irritating bug with the knife at the most inappropriate times (Murphy's Law). In the PC version, does the knife ever seem to hang up when you press the button to assassinate someone? There's been several times where I'll get the prompt right and the character pulls it out and moves forward, then... Just stares at the dude's back with the knife in hand. I have to switch weapons to get him to drop the damn thing (provided they haven't turned around and lit me up yet).
I'm curious to know if this is a universal thing.

That happens to me as well on PS3, I solve it by just pressing the knife button until it actually stabs him.

The sight that turns everything green and highlights heated targets like enemies and vehicles white is the IRNV, or Infrared Night Vision scope. It's essentially what's commonly called a "thermal" view.

Set knife to pull out only, so when you press knife button you just bring it out. It's a lot better trust me.

Edit:

Damavand peak, was playing with my brother.
I was dead, E was going down, so I spawned there. Was a heli circling in cap zone. Thought about using the RPG but saw he was flying pretty low and should be easy to shoot out.
Got him with the HK53, repaired the crashed heli then took off.
Bro spawned on me, said we should fly over to the us side, maybe cap something or some ♥♥♥♥.
Flew over, but not to A or B. Rather straight to their spawn, where I shot a dude who was just about to get their tank. My brother bailed, got into the tank then got it back in the combat area before he died. We kept their heli and tank the rest of that round.

.44 magnum. Holy balls, so fun. POW, POW, POW. Thing kicks like a horse, utterly fantastic stopping power and accuracy. Not too good at close range due to the low fire rate, however. A nice secondary if you have a shotgun or sprayer as your primary.

When I get a better PC I'll switch to it.
Should be fun re-leveling up, especially into a better version of the game.
Anyone have any tips on figuring the bullet drop of snipers, other than trial and error? By the time I figure out how far I need to aim up to hit the guy, he runs off.

When you get into a long-distance sniping position, take a shot or two at the spot you think you'll typically be engaging enemies. That should give you a rough feel for how much vertical adjustment you'll need. A lot of it is just a "feel" acquired over time. Go for the high ground if you can, it's easier to account for gravity when you're shooting downhill.
