Problem With Resolution
Hey, so I have build 26, and like to play it on my 64 bit Windows laptop. The screen resolution is 1600 by 900, which is an option under the resolution settings, but when I play it, it says I have to use vga, so I'm stuck with a 1250 by something xge resolution. If I try to fullscreen that, the screen goes black and won't resolve. If I go into the settings to change the resolution directly, it has no effect. Is there some way that I can either 1.) make it a 1200 by 900 vga/xge, or 2.) find a way to make it fullscreen.
Thanks in advance to whomever elects to help!

Re: Problem With Resolution
Documents folder, labelled "cortex command", why, does that affect it?

Re: Problem With Resolution
It works on any resolution with letters after it, eg. vga and xge (I think it's xge, but I'll have to look. It's something like that).

viewtopic.php?f=72&t=25800Now that I look, it seems to be a somewhat common problem... as I said in my post in that thread, I think it's either a windows 7 64 bit problem, or a graphics card problem. I really hope the devs get on it...

Re: Problem With Resolution
I believe it has something to do with the graphics card, since I have had no problems with Win7 x64 and CC.

Re: Problem With Resolution
go to: Cortex Command\Base.rte\settings.ini and try changing the resolution to your choice. Try seeing if it works.

Re: Problem With Resolution
I had this problem too, the resolution didn't seem to be able to be changed in game, only 640*480 would do the 2x and full screen everything else (that I tried) would just revert back to the resolution that it started. It only worked when changing the settings.ini. (windows 7 32bit, CC installed in D:/games)
Now I just stick to 640x480 anyway, but at the time I wanted it fullscreen without scaling. I don't know how data coded it but it seems like it just acts in a retarded manner and from what I've seen it's a very common problem.

Re: Problem With Resolution
Same problem here, too. Changing it manually in settings.ini did the trick, though, so no real harm done.
And to add to the information pile: I didn't have this issue when running Vista 64 with a 9800. Now I'm on Windows 7 with a 570ti, which has given me trouble with a LOT of games. Incredible card, unbeatable power, but it's pretty buggy with a lot of new games.
