You can't catch a cold purely through low temperatures.
However! Cold viruses are most active at low temperatures, and your immune system is slowed down by low temperatures. In a sterile room that is cold you won't catch a cold, but in any non-sterile and cold room your chances of contracting the cold virus increase.

I rarely ever get sick. This was the first time I've gotten sick in probably a year or two. I'm already over it by the way. Although I'm allergic to a whole bunch of stuff. I guess that's a trade-off for a good immune system.

from what i know you can't really catch any illness just by cold alone, but it more of a catalysis for illness, i.e higher chance of catching a illness in the cold, than not in the cold. much like what Chao said.
