The Bass Cannon: Now With Music!
So this is my first formal mod, nothing elaborate, nothing complicated, but I really like how it turned out, so I present to you, The Bass Cannon. Harnessing the power of pure unadultered sound, this weapon pumps out highly focused sound waves that explode on impact into limb tearing shockwaves. Even if the shockwave doesn't kill them, units near the point of impact will still suffer from Sonic (shell) Shock, rendering them unable to walk, fly, fire, or do anything other than crawl around helplessly for several disorienting seconds. Oh, and it also has a CD for a magazine Warning - Due to the reflective nature of sound waves, it is highly recommended that anyone without tank level armor and a pair of high quality ear-plugs should not use this weapon in a small enclosed area. On the other hand, it is highly recommended for the user to turn the volume up to full while wearing their best pair of headphones for maximum enjoyment of this mod. Any feedback is appreciated, and hope you enjoy! Changelog- Optimized scripting - Fixed pillow shaded sprites - Added an extra touch to the glows Download is compatible with all B23-B26 versions.

Not bad at all. The CD's photorealistic look doesn't really match the style of the cannon, and I can't help but think there might be some pillow shading in there, but the whole thing feels really good and sounds great!

The sprite for my mod is actually completely hand drawn pixel by pixel, but yes, it is heavily based on Heli-Attack 3's sound weapon. Main difference between the two is that mine is sleeker, more compact, and pumps up and down whenever it's activated.

We need more mods, full stop. There are almost none being made. But I definitely enjoyed this one.

this looks WONDERFUL. I would be using it all the time if I had B23. it obviously has great uses, both tactical and straightforward destruction. I did download it once - consider the download as a 'vote' towards work on that other sound gun for others' enjoyment! urther

If it's compatible with a lower version (B23, B24), should it be compatible with all other versions above it?

Not all the time. Out of curiousness would you mind if i use the code for this and basicly resprite the cannon into a Noise marine gun? Not that i'll be doing a Noise marine any time soon more so of when i get around to it and in case you ain't there at the time.
