Nighthawk, 4. > Mumble magic technobabble to self while walking over to the rope and searching for a flight spell in my book. Or at least something along those lines that would help me get out of this hellhole.

You decide that when you need to escape a horrible hell-dimension, ropes just don't cut it. You crack open "Most Holy is His Wrath" and begin searching for some kind of spell that would enhance your mobility. Some flowing illustrations catch your eye.

There is a sweeping rune inscribed on the page, and you activate it. Power rushes through your veins, and you stand up, feeling like a great weight has been taken from your shoulders.

You have gained Force-Amplifier. Your movements are passively enhanced via kinetic magic, making you run faster, jump higher, stab harder.
It's not a flight spell, but if you work on it...

Name: Reynard Heinson
Equipment: Arcane Bulwark, Rune-Knife, "Most Holy is His Wrath".
Inventory (0/10):
Passive Abilities:
Force-Amplifier: improves physical actions.
Active Abilities:
Warp-Shock: powerful kinetic spell.
Conditions:

Izen, 5. >Read the paper. Wait for everyone else to climb the rope so the weight of my armor doesn't bring the whole thing down.

You glance over the simple ritual. As far as you can tell (not being an expert theologian) it is a general incantation, one of the types recited to sanctify basically any sort of complex mechanism. Some Machinae artifacts simply won't function without the proper blessing.

However it will be used, you commit it to memory, and then stamp over to the rope. You wait your turn to climb, and ascend to the rock crag with the others.

Name: Agrath
Equipment: Mark 5 Steelwarden Suit (IR+Targeting), Popper LMG (80/80), "Strength Through the Iron".
Inventory (1/10): Activation Ritual
Passive Abilities:
Hammer-Novice: maintain gear, forge basic stuff + ammo.
Cog-Devout: temporary gear blessings.
Active Abilities:
Iron Blight: weakens enemy equipment.
Conditions:

caekdaemon, 4. The crystal thing in the ex-monster. Loot it.

You gather up the shattered crystal in your hands, and rip several of the stiffer tubules out of the creature. After molding it back into one rather damaged piece, you climb with the rest of the group.

Name: Bob Of the House Of Jones
Equipment: Reaver, Armor of Woe, "INCANTATIONS FOR THE WISE".
Inventory (1/10): Fractured Abomination Core
Passive Abilities:
Divine Favor: positive effects upon prayer.
Active Abilities:
Conditions:.

Asklar, 6. >Help the guys on getting outta here..

You help everyone up in turn, straining at the rope when Bob or Agrath scaled the cliff. Gods, why does their armor have to be so bulky?

Name: Charles Cross
Equipment: Promethean Dagger (4/4), Spymaster's Vestment, "Glory to the Perfect Human".
Inventory (3/10): Promethean Fang Blueprints, Bunch of Caltrops, Paralysis Poison
Passive Abilities:
Active Abilities:
Conditions:
Winded: -1 to physical activity next turn.

Ociamarru, 1. Head on with the others, after looking again at my scrap of paper. Pay special attention to anything involving "a strange sort of life". Self-corruption is a plus.

You get to the others, then look for "a strange sort of life". Instead you find this.

"B̵̩̙̝͎̟͋̇ͪL͖̎͟E̯̋̅͢Ẽ̙̗͇̦́̈́D̟̊́̂ͫ̽̇ͮ͞ ̄ͣ̾A̠͕̦̣͎̜͊͋͆N̶͍̞̬͍̪͆͗̈́ͮ̾͗̈́D҉̫̙̫͇̮̪̟ B͚̮̯͈̙ͯͤ͒̀̓͒ͮ͘L̮̺̄̅Ȇ̗̣̬̊̑ͧ͋ͬͯED̹̪̭̦̪ͪ͘ ̫ͫ͜Aͭͣ͗ͦ͏̘̘̦̰N͚ͤͦ̍̓̈͒D̙̥̥͔̻̲ ͖͎̳̫̥̮̫ͮ̒͡B̜͖̭L̳̘̰̠̖͓͋̌ͯ͢E͙͙̥E̪̰̞̞̹̅͊̾̍D̛̙͖̠̼̈ͣ̈́̓͊̚ ̨͇̙̻ͨͅA͎̠͚͖̪ͭN̞̥͖̰͐ͬ̽͞D̟͍̹̫͓͚ͣ̉̍̂̅͞ ̬ͬ͌ͧ̂B̲̲̣̟̩͙̊͗͑̕L̛̻̪̩̘̥̮̂͂E̫̼͑̎͒ͅE͙͌̌̍͆ͬ̔̔Dͦ͛̋ ̳̟͖̙͓͓ͯA̴͖̗̮Ṅ̞̖̮̊̀Ď͕̓̐̀͋ ̙͉͖̺̜͖͚ͩ͟B͇̹̗̼͚̂̽ͩL̮͋ͪͪ̇ͤ͆̌E̼̙̦̝̋͒̽̚Ë̙̹͓̼͈͉́̓̐ͩͧ͒̀D̠͕̘͇̱̄̉̉ ̙͕ͦ̾Ă̷͓̥͓̳̙̦͉͗͌̃N̜̥͈̬̔ͮͫ̌͊D͍͇͎͖̖͍͓̒̕ ͅḂ͛̊͂ͪͅL͔͎̜̮͉ͬ̇͞E̡Ę̭̠̥̪̜̲͌͒͋̊ͅD̲̣̬̩̞̒ͣ̀ͫ̓̑̑"

Your eyes suddenly sting. Everything goes dull and grey... YOU CAN SEE FOREVER OH GODS OH GODS WHY WHY WHY WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO US LORD IMPAR WHY

Name: Damien Grimmhilde
Equipment: Warpknife (Four), Symbiotic Armor, "BEYOND THE MIND".
Inventory (0/10):
Passive Abilities:
Stranger: demoralizes, less human.
Active Abilities:
Nightmare: coma, damage.
Conditions:
Horror: 2 TURNS WHY WHY OH GODS WHY

nicolasx, 1. Recieve help, if carried, try to sleep to regain my strength.

wharrgarbl... so blurry... can't climb... zzzz...

You're jerked awake by a mildly irritated Charles, and dragged up to the top of the rock.

Name: David Roffellon
Equipment: Entropic Katanas, Planewalker's Robe, "OUTSIDE".
Inventory (0/10):
Passive Abilities:
Active Abilities:
Flash: short teleport. Can be used passively or actively.
Spatial Withdrawal: teleport to silver sands. Risky.
Conditions:
Weary: -1 to physical activity rolls until you take a rest.

EVENTS:
Everyone is at the top of the rock bluff that leads to the keep.
Ocia is having a bad trip.

"Lord Impar, forsake me not! Oh gods, why?!
...Nay, this is no punishment, but a blessing - I can see EVERYTHING!"
First, examine my Warpknife under this strange perception. Then, try and read Beyond the Mind once more.

I'd pray for Impar to stop it, but I'm worried I'll get another one and it'll end up semi-permanent, with my vision constantly distorted or something.

"By the gods if what I am about to do goes wrong it will be extremely unpleasant."
Try using some of the tubes to reinforce my armour.

Impar). Check surroundings for anything large, scary, or otherwise evil-looking.

I have a gigantic History Fair project that I have to do every year, so I'm planning to get a jump on it over holiday break. That will unfortunately mean a temporary hiatus now, but it will ensure less disruptions in the future.
