I know, I know, Just me and my mild Dyslexia you can blame for that.

That said, Taking the Bolter sprite and and adding a Box mag could finally allow us to Abandon the old "Pistol" stormbolter abomination.

i'll add it to my list of stuff to sprite. i think i'll give some IG some love before i do more SM, that said i still need to do my Green dummies, Steampunk armies and Chaos.

and my vampire stuff xD, oh the joy of having short attention span on one project. i must always change between project.

Either way i think i'll do some of the Assassin's first or maybe a ripper (no way in hell am i going to do a Orgyn)

You mean giving the Storm Bolter a box mag more like the one on the Heavy Bolter? I think that could be managed fairly easily. Almost all of the Bolters and Bolt Pistols I see in artwork have curved magazines though.

Someone should really resprite the Stormbolter. When I sprited it, I made it horribly too small compared to the other boltguns.

I tend to sprite everything i do Towards the models and since i use chaos and my brother use IG and SM it's easy for me to just go down stairs to my bro's room and check.

Either way i'll get around to it once as i said before showed the IG some Love

My sound plans have hit a minor snag, so replacing some of them might take a little longer than I expected.

I have, however, finished consolidating the Bolt Weapons into a single folder, fixing them up to better fit canon*, and successfully added the Stalker Boltgun. I'll probably add the Bolter/Plasma Pistol Combiweapon next, should be easy to adapt the bayonet script.

*Bolt pistols, Stormbolters and Bolters/Boltguns (but not Heavy Bolters) all fire the same caliber ammunition, as far as all sources I can find indicate. In terms of the mod, this means all explosive bolts have the same raw firepower, increasing bolt pistol/stormbolter per-shot firepower to match the bolter/boltgun. I may need to do more projectile tuning as a result... Kraken Bolts are in definite need of attention.

Ed: Now at 1,109 recompilation downloads!

Bolt pistol etc are basicly just compacted bolters in pistol form so yea, there is no change between ammo type.

also the stalker bolter shouldn't use any different round type(not correct to warhammer lore but i rather have it based of relic space marine rather than just another generic round for bolters etc)

what i can say to increase balance in the game is make bolter - bolt pistol carry different rounds as in, bolter carry normal and Kraken while bolt pistol carry normal and another type. as for the stormbolter it should just fire two bullets all the time which make it a good weapon on it's own.

CombiPlasma is coded up and working nicely, using the bayonet script as I anticipated was refreshingly easy, and I should be able to adapt it for underbarrel shotguns/grenade launchers/whatever too. First post credits are properly organized and updated now.

Ed: Optimization ho! Managed to shave a couple more megabytes off the filesize by tidying up unused sprites, optimizing sound file quality, and cleaning out a bunch of local system files. Thumbnail caches... ...some of this stuff must've been made on a pre-XP machine, as post-XP windows systems store thumbnail caches away from the images themselves.

^ The bolter overhauls I did last update made it a hell of a lot easier to change how a few things work. Testing Imperium Inferno Incendiary Bolts! Still lots of tuning to do, but it's a start.

Ed 2: Done tweaking. Both the Bolter and Bolter CombiPlasma can use the Inferno rounds. I was also able to adapt the system to make Hellfire Acid bolts, which are available solely for the Stalker Boltgun. The scripts on the acid bolts allow it to dish out hurt to just about anything that moves, even targets with extreme armour that can resist normal/kraken bolts and such. Storm Bolters can no longer use Kraken Bolts, which allowed me to buff Kraken power on the pistol/bolters/boltgun/heavy bolter.

Quiet lot, eh? Anyway, I tried buffing ImpulseDamageThreshold up, but in the process of making them resistant to impact damage, it made it so they could essentially 'fly' and clip through solid surfaces (e.g. concrete) in jetcrash mode.

First post upcoming changelist is coming along nicely. In terms of sheer number of entries I think this is the biggest update yet.
