The paths are basically freeform. You can grab just a few mutated tentacle morphs and then focus on frying people's brains, or vice versa.
If you don't like summoning, you can stick with the whole driving people mad thing.

No, an Ouroboros is an image of a serpent eating its own tail, kind of like a more bad-ass Yin-Yang symbol.
