 Actor Arm/Leg Offsets?

Post Actor Arm/Leg Offsets?
So I've been poking at the search button a bit trying to get answers and finding nothing conclusive. Offsets make sense for guns, but I'm having trouble figuring them out for arms and legs.

What I need to know is how the SpriteOffset, ParentOffset, IdleOffset, JointOffset, MaxLength etc. etc. are important for arms and legs. Should the sprite offset be at the exact shoulder/hip joint, where it would connect to the torso, or closer towards the elbow/knee or center of the sprite? That sort of thing.

Spriteoffset should be where the joint connecting it to the main body is.

I feared as much. It seems there is a lot that isn't documented, even after this long.

A lot of times the arm SpriteOffset definitely isn't the shoulder joint, so whilst it's a case of 'should', it's obviously not a case of 'must'. It makes sense if you don't want to have to mess around with offsets too much though.

I'm pretty sure sprite offset is the position of the shoulder/hip joint on the limb sprite, parent offset is the position of the shoulder/hip joint on the torso sprite. For joint offset and idle offset I think they may be the fully extended position of the foot/hand and the fully contracted position of the foot/hand but yeah I'm not sure which way round or if one is offset from the other (haven't done any actor coding in a long long time, I gave up because I couldn't get it walk properly, also the in-game default idle arm state seems to be contracted whilst the leg idle is extended though I'm not sure if that effects it). I don't know what role max length plays but it may be used to work out the stresses on the joint but it's probably what it says on the tin, the length of the limb when fully extended from the shoulder/hip joint to the hand/foot joint.

A way to test them would be to load a base actor and set a variable to 0 and see the effect and then set it to something ridiculously high and see the effect, see what moves/changes then reset it to it's default and do the same to another variable.

I've been struggling with a similar problem but on a more basic level. Why is there no "Dictionary of All the Terms in CC Code?"

It seems simple if you already know what a MOpixel is or what DeepGroup means. Me, I've never done this before, and have no point of reference for any of it.
