There's several generations of feminists, in my opinion only two of which are constructive.
1: Right to vote and own property
2: MEN ARE EVIL WOMEN ARE AWESOME
3: Equal rights and pay
4: WE WANT THE KITCHEN BACK

1 and 3 are the ones I agree with, 2 is crazy and 4 is just spitting in 1 and 3's face.
I had the misfortune to know both a gen 2 and 4, both were insufferable and I'm glad I no longer have to deal with them. The 2nd genner was in fact a teacher of mine and consistently gave lower scores to my male friends in the same class (AP English, she was the kinky librarian type). The 4th genner was a classmate of mine and, to quote her, wanted "a man to provide everything for me".

ACTUAL feminists want gender equality - granted, they aren't focused on what sexism is present against men, usually, but that doesn't mean that feminists are all men-hating tyrants.

As for the whole 'women are allowed to be sexist' thing, I don't know about you, but when I call people out for prejudice regardless of the party being targeted, people usually realize that what they said was sexist and shut the ♥♥♥♥ up.

4 sounds a lot like those people that describe the phrase: "Courtesy when they like it, sexism when they don't".

The 2nd gen are the most scary, because if they had their way we'd have a new slavery system with women at the top. However, the 4th are the most annoying, as they literally want to be pretty cows. Give them their fancy things and treat them right, and they'll give you their milk in the form of housework and bitching.

What bothers me is when people cry "RACISM/SEXISM/ETC!" when the only such instance of racism/sexism/etc. is that of the person claiming that something racist/sexist/etc. has occurred. No, I didn't punch that black kid in the face because he was black, it's because he was being a ♥♥♥♥ annoying foot.

Usually the people you see posting on forums are the so called nerds, geeks, misfits and so on.Life can be, and usually is, much easier on a female if she is willing to do certain things. The mere fact that a woman can, and I put a lot of ♥♥♥♥ emphasis on the can, have her life made easier by flirting with her boss, flirting with strangers in order to obtain favors and so on makes their life look rather easy to the average internet going male.

And don't you dare say such things don't happen. I see them happen every single day where I work. While I'd get drilled for being five minutes late certain females who party and/or do "favors" to the upper management manage to skip whole mornings, arrive half an hour late every single day and so on.

I'm not saying that every single woman does this and I do condone it, but those who can take advantage of said position, do, because if you're willing and manage to seize the opportunity your life can be a hell of a lot easer.

It's not the stereotype, it's the people who enforce it who are infuriating.

I'm not saying there isn't sexism in this world that's unfavorable toward men, but it goes both ways. It isn't like we're being treated now with a similar level of sexism to that of womens' treatment in the 1700s.

What? Where in there did I at all say that? I said that things are a lot more equal right now, and it isn't really that bad. I was using the oppression of women back in the past as an example of much more serious institutionalized oppression. I, as a guy, don't feel oppressed except in cases where girls get much less retribution than I in physical altercations that they instigated.

I went to play the demo of Dawn of War, and suddenly I realised there aren't women Space Marines. At least in the demo.

I'm all for diversity when it comes to game characters. It's kind of telling that it's news when a protagonist isn't a white male.

Prototype 2's Heller isn't a white male, that's very barely and tangentially related. So yeah, Prototype 2's looking pretty bad-ass. The developers are doing a great job of giving Heller a Predator sort of feel, and it just looks pretty damn fun. Can't wait to screw around with all his new biological toys.
