Approach the man in the machine, ready to strike if he shows any signs of ill will, as unlikely as that is.

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia (Roll #78)
FAKE ACTION BELLOW : "How about a cup of shut the ♥♥♥♥ up?"Throw a burning piece of wood at him.Alright, that is exactly how I feel this should go down , but unfortunately you guys probably don't want to do that. So REAL action bellow. "Sorry good sirs, I did not know this forest belonged to anyone. Never knew any part of nature belonged to anyone anyway... Anyhow, do you have any idea what this red metal is?"Show him the red metal. If he tries to take it, break his legs. The leg breaking is not a joke. I am serious. If he tries to take my crap, he will lose the function of his legs.

Quick conversation update since we don't need everyone to reply here.
______________________________________________________________________________________
The group warily approaches this stranger, speaking their parts.
"Just passing through." "Actually, we're off to kill some demons that play with fire."
"Demons? Gah - I've heard they're everywhere. Damn lucky they've neglected to visit this place. But if they do come..." Terry pounds his fist into the palm of his other hand. "... I'll send them back to the hellhole they were born from."
"Well, Sorry for intruding good sirs, I did not know this forest belonged to anyone. Never knew any part of nature belonged to anyone anyway... Anyhow, do you have any idea what this red metal is?"
"Metal? Don't ask me about that. I'm a forest sprite... with a short attention span, according to the guys back home. Bah - they don't understand. I'm not interested in learning about the world. All I need is good ol' Hunchback and some asses to kick."
"Hunchback?"
"That's what I call my suit here." Terry gestures to the hulking thing he's riding in.
Gabriel pipes up suddenly. "We're actually heading to the southern coast. We've, uh... got a job to do there."
"Well, as long as you don't intend to kill any trees, you're welcome to stay in our woods for the night.
"Staying in the woods at night? Isn't that exactly what you're NOT supposed to do?"
"Is that what you're taught? Well, obviously, you've never been to a Sprite Wood before. Come on. I'll show ya."
The group looks to Gabriel for guidance. He shrugs and follows Terry.
~
After a few minutes of walking, Terry speaks up. "We're nearing the place. I've noticed you've got more than a few sharp objects between you. You should probably hide them. It'd scare the others." The group does as they're told.
A clearing appears in the woods - a small opening, letting in sunlight... And then it bursts into a flurry of activity. All at once there are tiny bodies zipping about everywhere. There must be hundreds of them.
"Welcome to forest sprite headquarters."
There are a variety of buildings. Most of them seem to be made out of living wood. Small trees seem to grow naturally into structures for living, as if they were raised for that specific purpose. Natural light streams in from the clearing, illuminating what seems to be tiny dust particles floating through the area.
A group of sprites seem to notice the newcomers. They quickly gather round, small faces beaming with curiosity. They seem to be sprite children. They do not speak, but their faces spell out everything unspoken. They want to know who you are. They want to know why you're here. They want to know everything.
"Oh, shoo, you little rascals. We'll get to hear from them soon enough. For now we need a place to sit and talk." They nod, understanding perfectly. They disappear into the crowd of bodies, and seconds later, a small cleared area devoid of sprites appears. The group watches in awe as seven little buds pop out of the ground, quickly growing into 3-foot tall plants, each of them branching in two directions, forming perfect... chairs.
The seven of you sit down. Terry gently drops into a sitting position as well, taking care not to crush anyone. More and more fluttering sprites gather around, taking rest on the grassy floor, until the woods are eerily silent without the buzzing of tiny wings.
"Now... every sprite here loves a good story. Why don't you tell us yours?"
And so you do. Gabriel takes the lead for the most part, with the rest of the party commenting in a few places. By the time the tale is done, the sun is near setting. Gabriel and the Six are feeling oddly... floaty. Terry sighs aloud.
"Well, that's quite a thing. Can't say I wouldn't like to be out there with you all, givin' those bad guys out there a good beating."
Gabriel begins to float off of his seat. He quickly grabs the sides of the plant, holding himself to earth. Terry laughs heartily.
"Hah! Seems you're feelin' the effects of bein' around Sprite Woods, eh?" Gabriel is thoroughly confused. "What's going on?!"
"Ah, calm down, kid. You're covered from head to toe in magic." "Pixie dust?" Gabriel asks. Terry's face contorts. "Don't go comparing our essence to the pixies. Damn little bastards don't make nothin' but poison everywhere they go. Their dust puts most living things into a deep sleep... and most who fall asleep don't wake up. How do I explain our magic..." Terry thinks for a bit. "Alright - it's like this: Sprites absorb magic from living things - trees, plants, even bugs and animals. Everything, regardless of whether it uses magic or not, produces it. We sprites absorb that magic, and constantly create... bubbles of it. Tiny bubbles. Smaller than us, and WAY smaller than you. These bubbles are sticky, and they form on the surface of our skin. They tend to ignore gravity, too. That's how we fly around all day - we ain't that heavy. Our magic has just been coming off of us... and getting caught on you."
"Right. Well, we need a place to sleep where we won't float away."
"You can use the trees. It's not quite bedtime yet, though. Feel free to talk to the other sprites for a bit - at least, the ones that WILL talk. I'm sure they'd be happy to answer your questions."

That ended up being hella lot longer than I expected. Well, go make conversation.

I would have preferred to have NOT said ANY information to these fellows. "I have no questions. Do you have a place for me to work metal?"

PLUS the story kind of pulls you along whether you like it or not. (Work with me here, people!) I tell ya what, Caek. Next time I run any sort of RtD/Role Playing, if you're in it, I promise to make your choices important, as in, you can completely ♥♥♥♥ up the world if you want. Aight?

Using wolf senses, listen to the sounds of the forest and investigate the most intriguing sound I hear.

I never said anything against the storyline. I just would have preferred to have had nothing said about my character. Also, would it be fair ICly to punch Gabriel in the face? Like I said, never wanted anything told about meh.

Like I said, never wanted anything told about meh. ... What would he have to say about you, anyway? It's not like he knows anything about you before meeting you. And after that, it's just been a bunch of battles, essentially. If you really want to use a move to punch him in the face, go right ahead. I will hand out consequences regardless. I just don't want to get this game TOO ♥♥♥♥ up. As in, I give my players so much freedom that they go on a killing spree and murder entire villages because they CAN. If you want that, go play Elder Scrolls.
