"Red eh? Probably iron due to rust..."
Try to smelt a small amount of it on a campfire.

It may be so that you deserve a reward for your high roll, but your move was to LEARN how to dual wield.

I'd say you were quite successful.

Pop me on the waiting list

Name: Jackson Meadows

Appearance: A 21 year old man. Has military-like shaved hair, a full beard, and green eyes. He is about 5'9 and quite broad around his shoulders.

Occupation: Tactical Mastermind

Inventory: A Recurve Chu-Ko-Nu [3] and a Gladius sword.[2]

Passive Ability: Strategist Jackson gains a +2 (or 1, whichever is fair) to anything having to do with Dexterity.

Jackson was a former Viking Jarl. During his time, he led his house to glory, pillaging and slaying all who opposed him. This changed when fellow Jarl Grell tricked Jackson into starting a war with Jarl Harg, who was allied to Grell. Jackson managed to escape as his house and village was burned to the ground with no survivors. He then became a wanderer, telling his tale of his defeat.

Yeah, do we start with ammunition for ranged weapons?

Normally I would say no, since that counts as more than two items, but since you're one of the few people who use ranged weaponry, I say why the hell not.
I'll give you a score of arrows (20).

Also,

You realize Dexterity essentially means sleight of hand? Either that or general skill with weapons.
However, the second definition is pretty much +1 to any and all attacks, which I don't think should be allowed.

If you don't like just having quick fingers, (which isn't insanely useful in this game) you're free to tell me if you want something else.

Other than that, your character is good to go. I'll be adding you shortly.

Ah, right. Switch it over to Intelligence if that is possible.

Or just a +1 on all ranged attacks to the legs.

You've already found ways to use it, though. Clever, tricky little ways.
I suppose quick fingers suits you, Torrent.

Unless you're in a forested area.
Or you power it up.

You probably already realized this, but Major Plant Control lets you summon up plants wherever the heck you want.
Right now you can only make them grow at an enhanced rate if they're present.

Also, just a newsflash for you guys - I am incredibly bogged down by work today, and this entire week is going to be hellishly busy for me. I am not sure if I will be able to post.
If I don't, you know why.

Post Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia (Roll #79)
FINALLY rolling.
I don't have hope to catch much of a break until Wednesday of this week. Once I'm there, I'm pretty much out of the woods.
Speaking of which, you guys are IN the woods. Or at least near them. Let's get to the roll.

Torrent (Gillian) (1)

You pull out your two weapons and try some experimental swings to a few make-believe targets. However, you fail to compensate for the weight difference between your dagger and mace. You lose your balance and fall backwards, the knife flying from your hands. It sticks into a nearby tree and quivers a bit before stopping. You get up, brush yourself off and walk over. Placing both hands on the weapon, you pull a bit and it comes loose. There's a good-sized mark where the blade buried itself in the wood.

You begin to hear a strange thumping.

Ociamarru (Nikolai) (5 + 1 = 6)

You manage to locate a bird. Thinking hard, you will time to stop around this creature. Your head begins to hurt, but you see the bird's movements begin to slow.
Eventually, you drop your focus, rubbing your throbbing temples. The pain fades away slowly.

You have a feeling that this crazy ability you got from the blood-red Glyph are not going to be possible to train...

caekdaemon (Anderson) (7)

"Red eh? Probably iron due to rust..."
You're thinking of smelting some of this stuff on the handy-dandy campfire, but there doesn't seem to be a campfire in the immediate vicinity.
But hey! There are trees! You decide to make yourself a campfire.

You begin bashing down weaker branches from the trees nearby. They come off rather easily beneath the heavy blows of your hammer.

... What's that thumping?

Bah, whatever.

You get a campfire going rather easily and combining the heat with your mental forge ability, you manage to smelt a bar of the metal over the fire.
It doesn't look much like iron to you. The metal itself comes out a deep red hue, completely unchanged. Red seems to be it's natural color.
What IS this stuff?

CaveCricket (Raphael) (Telekinesis Roll: 9 + 1 = 10), (Shapeshifting Roll: 4)

"Hrm, if I can shapeshift myself, what about..."
You easily locate a small mammal that resembles a wolverine. With a grin, you force your powers upon it and watch as it...

Ceases to exist. It just vanished. What the hell...?

You hear a thumping sound. Is that...?

Tokochiro (Johni) (1)

You can't learn to talk to plants and stab yourself at the same time. Stabbing yourself is kinda distracting...

You attempt to stab yourself, but no matter how hard you try, your human instincts stop the blade inches before it reaches any part of your body. You're simply to weak-willed to injure yourself.

Adam (Adam) (5)

You do some MANLY practice punches, imbuing the power of fire into them at the same time. Then you decide to test your abilities on a real target. With a shout, you punch the nearest tree as hard as you can.

...

Your knuckles hurt. There's a black mark where your flaming fist hit the tree. That didn't do nearly as much damage as you wanted it to do.

Also, what's that sound? It sounds like something... big. And it's getting closer.

NPCs

Gabriel

Gabriel turns around, hearing the sound of distant pounding becoming louder.
"What is that?"

GAME EVENTS
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The thumping becomes louder and louder as whatever is making its way through the woods comes closer.
All eyes turn towards the opening in the woods...

... as a giant, humanoid shape saunters calmly out of them.

"Hey. Don't screw with our trees."
At first, it's difficult to tell exactly where what the voice is coming from. The giant seems to be composed completely of wood, resembling a mechanical body of some kind. There doesn't seem to be a head - more just like a giant torso. And the voice comes from the heart of it.

Suddenly, an opening appears in its upper body, revealing a very small man with wings.

"You hear me? This forest don't stay standing by itself. If it were up to you damn humans there'd be nothin' left."

Gabriel takes a step forward.

"And who are you?"
The tiny man points a thumb at his chest, and the gargantuan body mimics the movement, both gesturing towards the same place.
"The name's Terry. And I ain't pleased ta meetcha or anythin' like that, you hear me? I just want these woods safe."
Terry takes a few steps forward in his giant machine and points a great finger up to Gabriel's nose.

"What's a buncha humans doin' around here anyways?"
