Re: The Lounge
I prefer trance, but I still listen to dubstep. It's just annoying that everyone seems to think it's the only type of techno that exists, and that Skrillex is definitively the best and if you disagree you're a J-Biebs loving gentleman.

Re: The Lounge
This pisses me off more than any dubstep fan. Techno is NOT what you call electronic music. Techno is its own genre. Dubstep is not Techno. Trance is not Techno. Techno is techno. These genres are all electronic music. ONE of them is techno.

Re: The Lounge
And this is why I give example bands and do not mention any specific genres.

Re: The Lounge
Well where I come from, 'techno' is used as an umbrella term for electronic music. And why do dubstep fans piss you off? That's just as bad as people that get pissed off at either A) those who don't like Justin Bieber or B) those who DO like Justin Bieber. You really shouldn't get mad because HOW DARE YOU LIKE A CERTAIN GENRE OR ARTIST.

Re: The Lounge
the Differences is, Justin is a talentless Pampered Star who think's he's everything.
while Techno is just a music Genre which contains good artist.
Either way, i tend to dabble in every genre but oddly i can only get any melody sense in metal music of course piano has it as well as some rock and pop songs but it mainly metal which seems to have it.
that said it i listen to it so often i got used to it and other stuff sounds... weirder to it.

Re: The Lounge
You're stating that as if it's a fact, when it's opinion. Justin Bieber is undeniably talented to some people considering how successful he is. And the thing about techno didn't even tie into my post; all I said on the matter was that you shouldn't hate on people for the music they like, in this case referring to Sothe's apparent dislike of dubstep fans.

Re: The Lounge
i apologise for stating my obvious opinion like a fact. And i'm well aware what you mean, it just don't involve a artist who may or may not be talented or good but get hated to a genre which is always good to at least one person and is always talented. artist and genre should always be seperated like sauces for food, despite how good chocolate is, you don't really think of pouring melted chocolate on meat, (that said it is tasty) regardless, the only major thing i got against dubstep is that damn awful "WUBWUBWUBWUBWUBAWUBDUBDUBRUBBERDUCK" after a Beautifully done melody/part. i think the best thing to say here is " it's ok to hate stuff, just don't be a ♥♥♥♥ about it" which Sothe, you kinda are being a ♥♥♥♥ about.

Re: The Lounge
I hear obvious abuse of autotune in his music. Lord is probably right that he is talentless.

Re: The Lounge
-snip- misread it. to be honest, i really treat everything the same, i may not like it but it doesn't mean it's bad.
Granted certain genres have a LOT of bad stuff, pop and rap for example. (at least in my opinion related to rap it understandable how people can like rap due to the message, but how i see music is mainly for the sound, not the message)

That seems unnecessarily antagonistic of you to say.

Re: The Lounge
What the hell are you talking about? I hardly ever address you. And even if that WERE the case, it wouldn't invalidate the antagonistic nature of your comment.

Re: The Lounge
All I'm saying is that when you do address me, it seems you having nothing but hurtful and distasteful things to say.
Really not looking for an argument, just typing what's on my mind.
