as for the M60, i recall it meant to have 100 rounds rather than 50 rounds. since it using a Box ammo rather than a belt. Depends on how many bullets the bag holds.

Could there be a sort of grenade belt system instead? As in, you buy a belt (for a substantially higher price than any single grenade) and you can keep throwing grenades as long as you have the item. It would make grenades finally worthwhile and give the player a high degree of tactical flexiblity.
I credit Gotcha for this idea, as he implemented it fantastically in his flagship Unitec mod.
Any comments or critiques would be appreciated. you can use the grenade launcher with bounce mode enabled for similar results minus the power adjustment. And yes I agree with the cost/weight issue with grenades Though I disagree with the infinite grenade belt idea. possibly have a "limited ammo weapon" of grenades, like 8 grenades per belt, don't have to switch items to get next grenade, and weighs less. As for the M60 discussion I get why it is sort of OP, but I still think it needs a larger magazine (maybe 75 rounds?) I also think we need more bullet-based weapons with larger clips, specifically 100+ rounds and weaker damage. A FN Minimi (that's a M249 SAW, basically) or H&K MG4 (already in the ToD mod, but I dislike it's oversized sprite) could work for this.

Grenades need more shrapnel and more air blast particles to push actors back, in my opinion.

Yeah. Since they're so expensive and heavy as of now, they need more whoomph.

What I usually do with shotties is aim between the head and the torso at mid ranges, and they usually take like 2-3 shots to kill the average guy.

I only use shotguns when attacking fortifications.

i tend just use a flamethrower when storming bunkers. it's very good at cleaning out places.
