Sword of the Stars II is finally worth playing now. Its had alot of patches with the devs releasing a new patch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Damn.

But it now means I have to contend with these sons of ♥♥♥♥♥es.


Looks harmless, right?

Wrong. ♥♥♥♥ wrong beyond belief.

I have lost billions of people to those things. They come to a world, attack its defence fleets with their eat rays. They devour ships, returning to the mother ship to off load resources from the eaten ship. The mother ship makes another drone.

Then they leave, stripping the planet of some its resources.

They leave to gain strength, attacking uninhabited worlds, taking their resources too.

Why?

To build more of themselves, and the dreaded VN Construct that can strip a world bare.

I'll get some combat footage with those monsters later.

On an un-related note, did someone notice that the mauler shotgun was just commented out in B26?

That made my day.

Had contact with a new, but thankfully bugged, variant of the VN.

I decided to take the time to get a image of one of my cruisers.

I'll do a lets play once the game gets more stable, and more features are implemented.

I've seen it before, but I haven't really seen any game-play of it. I've been busy killing dragons.
Maybe I'll look into it.

Sword of the Stars II Lords Of Winter.

Its buggy due to the developers circumstances of either releasing the game buggy, or closing the doors.

If you can crack through the games bugs however, it is a very good game. I always play as Sol Force, as their FTL has no strange kinks, unlike the other races.

Every race has their own FTL drive. Sol Force uses node lanes, created by gravitational stress fractures in the universe. The Liir, a space faring aquatic species (You can see the water in their ships , but their ships are fragile ) use teleportation, but only a few centimetres at a time, but they do it millions of times a second. The Morrigi use a flock drive, where the more ships in a fleet = faster fleet travel. The Hiver's use a gate network, slow boating to a system and deploying a gate. Then they have instantaneous travel between the gates.

Do you need an uber-computer to play it?

No, but you need a operating system that came after XP. It needs DirectX11 to run. The game was made by Kerberos Productions.

Well I'm a generally-small person, but since I started working out I've gotten more muscular.

The only exercise I do is aerobic stuff like jogging.
