Consoles aren't really outdated at all. Well, maybe Wii, but it was never really up to date to begin with.

Seriously, the only game I've seen with real differences between the PC and console versions was Battlefield 3 having higher player capacity on multiplayer servers and an "ultra" setting (which is not a huge deal and can only really be used by very high end computers)

Also, as far as I know, the new Xbox is predicted to be somewhere in late 2013 or early 2014, and PS4 is predicted to arrive sometime late 2012. As far as I know these are unofficial predictions based on a lot of small details. Wii U I'm pretty sure comes out in 2012.

They're pretty outdated in my eyes.

I was sorting out my inventory, dropped an axe on the floor and got reprimanded by a guard for leaving dangerous objects lying around in the streets. Tssk.

my current PC is ever so slightly better than a 360. and my pc is in real need of replacing and updating.
consoles hardware is outdated. all of this graphical advancement? that just the developers squeezing every last drop of the power to do so. As well as making short cuts to render the world.
Everything goes outdated in 3 or so years. and the current consoles been around for at least 6 or so years now. They're really need updating.

Edit: Actually, after noticing Lydia vanish when the giant hit her, I think that was what sent me flying so high. I don't understand why getting crushed by his club causes that, maybe just glitched ragdolls, but it does, and it's awesome.

You kidding me? PCs will always have the advantage. It doesn't make them outdated if glorious PC outperforms them.

I would think since there are no successors to the console (and no next-gen consoles from competitors), it's not outdated. As soon as the first console from the next generation comes out, then the others will be outdated.

And even then since the consoles are following different paths (the wii especially), last-gen consoles might be current for a little while longer.
