teamspeak NO! VENTRILO! :D
We, as members of LHB, came to the conclusion that a TeamSpeak Ventrilo server was required for completely unobservable reasons. Currently, SiGn's_TeamSpeak3 is the server, channel is LHB and password is 'tits'.HERE, no passwordServer, channel and/or password may change in the future. COME LISTEN TO MY AUSTRALIAN ACCENT. YOU WILL LOVE IT.

Re: TeamSpeak
Sure teamspeak is good.... But Ventrilo uses much less memory and is better suited for gaming.

But it has no push-to-talk, and uses waaay more memory than Teamspeak and Vent. It's best suited for non-gaming, or for games that don't use much memory.

Re: TeamSpeak
And Ventrilo has better codecs available and nobody wants to hear your ♥♥♥♥ fan in the background. Push to talk, use ctrl or the middle mouse button or something. Skype is terrible for group things.

Re: TeamSpeak
Not to mention you now have to pay to have more than ~4 people in a convo, iirc. If not then I'm thinking of >2 people with video.

Re: TeamSpeak
Yeah you're thinking of >2 for video. I've done a five man voice call. My boss prefers it when we play League. Though we don't play together that much anymore. Not since she started taking it too seriously.

If you leave upon seeing few people, then other people will have the same reaction. This means that until certain sensible people come online and then idle, nobody is going to stay in the chatroom.

i haven't been able to find a program that uses little to no memory, mainly because i want something that barely registers when running.

Oh man. Incredibly funny night on Vent with Christine, DSMK2, Duh, Kelas, and Blue. Amazigh and Urch a little bit, too.
