Re: My Fabulous End of the World - Development Log
Ah, well i'm deeply interested in this game now and hopefully enjoy to see it's development.
Regarding music it would be nice to see more games go towards the metal genre mostly cause there isn't many (do correct me if you know a number of game that do so,...and lead me towards them) Such as red(dead?) nation , Killing floor etc. but cheesy metal music could also be hilarious in a way.
and if i come up with any decent suggestion i'll be sure to tell you.

What I meant with the cursor being separate from the aiming reticle is that, for example, in Cortex Command, the mouse cursor is like "stuck" in the center of the screen, and for example, you can't close the window using it unless you pause. That is like "basic" in FPS games, I suppose.

Then using small (1m3 or 0.5m3) cubes/pieces to build buildings and other terrain features. Then I'll fill the level with zombies, give you a goal and drop you off somewhere. Those "building blocks" that are going to be used in generation of level features are going to be destructible. Don't expect anything fancy, I'll try to keep it simple but functional.

Good news, I've got parse for mods working. Right now you can easily mod in new weapons with custom looks and sounds. NPCs are a bit more difficult but I'm still working on that.

The Older Ones You could Destroy Buildings and Terrain but Buildings wouldn't fall down and in the Newer Releases Buildings fall down " Correctly" but Terrain isn't destroyable.

(mind you for a game that was made in 2001 i think it was breaching in areas people didn't bother to go through with) and similar to how minecraft works then jack? expect you start at the bottom indestructible level.

Except I plan on having as small blocks as possible, as long as it doesn't lag the game too much. I also will (most likely) have some kind of system, where if you destroy lots of blocks on the bottom level of the build it will self-destruct, to simulate it falling down.

I can't wait to see skyscrapers infront of that sky, the ones that you can bring down with a well placed nuke.
