Payday: The Heist
Ever wanted to rob a bank like the ones in die hard, heat or the dark knight? Well now you can! It's essentially a heist simulator, pretty arcadey however. It's released tomorrow for ps3 and pc, anyone else got it/getting it? Interested in playing with some DRLers. http://www.overkillsoftware.com/payday/

It's out, and the soundtrack is beautiful.

It sure looks nice, some original ideas, too. Enough weapons, not that bad of an AI... And a good change between missions. Too bad I'm moving(Due to a divorce of my parents) and have to skip all the new games.

Might get it I dunno. I read a review of it a while ago and it was spoken highly of, but I'm not sure if it's my kind of game.

You don't really have to think, just shoot and go wherever the arrow tells you to.
You'd like it very much I'd presume.

Based on reviews, it sounds kind of unpolished.
Bought it anyways.

Hey man, you know what...
CoD is better than Battlefield and PS3 is better than PC.
But I might get this game I dunno. Maybe if a few more DRLers do.

I watched the trailer and such, does not seem that enjoyable for long term gaming.

Re: Payday: The Heist
At first i was sceptical (then again i'm always am) and it really seem like a Bank robbing L4D style game, In other words, more fun with you and 3 other people, Rather than yourself,
I been thinking of buying it since it's only £15 however i have no idea if 1: it runs decent enough on my pc ( the curse of being a cheap git and not upgrading my old computer) and 2: hardly anyone i know have it.
so if anyone has the game and played it single player, tell me if it worth buying, or is it another l4D type thing

Single player is pretty ♥♥♥♥, but MP really gets you into it. It gets really intense sometimes. It's got it's share of flaws though, and honestly it's pretty overshadowed by some other large titles (SKYRIM BF3 MW3 MINECRAFT) that are out soon.

Re: Payday: The Heist
so basicly it's L4D but no zombies and Robbing banks instead of staying alive in terms of first impression looks. (i seen a few video's namely OMFGCata with some of the RPGmaker crew, i can picture it being hilarious with a group of guys but solo i doubt it be fun)
and funnily enough i haven't even thought of them games, Then again i have a quite old computer, i know for one Skyrim and any new games that are out soon will never be able to play smoothly on my pc.

Re: Payday: The Heist
From what I see in the trailer, the crooks are taking the police force a bit too lightly. One guy could mow down several cops in a row. This seems a bit far fetched.
I wonder how much tactical elements is in this game, as in, planning out the heist, placing your teammates on good positions, avoiding setting off alarms, avoiding police snipers, setting traps, planning escape route, etc. Or is it just mindless action?

Re: Payday: The Heist
it just mindless action, but from what i know you can go in all guns blazing or you can go in stealthy.
