I live in an area figuratively drowning in naval bases. Right next to one is a fair bit of farmland. I can always escape to the Isle of Wight if I need to, or France.

Not sure who said it, think it was Azukki but the whole "red dot" mines made from a shotgun shell, some tube and a matchstick and tack... Do they work? Would the tack actually work as a firing pin on the primer? I'm kind of dubious there but don't know enough about guns etc.

Maybe the virus turns them into a pack like animal meaning they use teamwork to get the kill like Hyenas. You turn a human into a zombie he/she are no longer human they are more like pack animals and hunt other living things,but if you starve anything that has to feed it will go cannibalistic and eat it's own kind. Humans are an exception though because some people will have the will power to just die of starvation and not resort to cannibalism.
