Why didn't Sam and Frodo just ride the Eagles to Mordor?

Why didn't Miggles just put ham in his rootbeer float?

Why didn't he put the bunny, back in the box?


Edit: For those that don't know. I have a strong love for this movie, nothing homestuck related.

Because they were sitting on a gold mine of provocative fanfare and homosexuality.

Because:
1. Sauron's tower is actually an advanced version of a giant NOD Obelisk. It would have shot the eagles right out of the sky.

2. Sauron has a whole battery of SAM sites loaded with 6 memorized magic missile spells each.
3. Eagles are allergic to volcanoes.

4: Because of the slight problem of Sauron having a coupla things called Nazgûl and their steeds.

Did you really just ask that?

Well I was going to be a ♥♥♥♥ and go "BECAUSE FAP" but awkward timing.

First of all there are nazgul steeds (the dragons), secondly they had catapults and archers (and all of these are based in Mordor the place they need to get to), lastly they would be spotted miles before reaching Mordor making them even easier to be killed. I don't know why everybody seems to ignore these things, it's kind of like asking 'why didn't we just find out where Hitler was and just bomb him from a plane?' Answer: because the Nazis had planes too as well as other anti-aircraft weapons. I'm not just blindly defending it, it's just not even a plausible idea. I love how everybody just copies this same question after hearing it without even thinking about it.

Harry Potter has much worse plot holes, time-turners being a big thing that should have never entered the series (because evil people could get away with anything by covering up evidence, killing or averting witnesses, creating alibis etc. and to give it to a girl just to handle more school work?) and regarding the deathly hallows and also harry is famous and yet people go from loving him to being indifferent to hating him (goblet of fire) constantly throughout the films. One last thing why is the decision of the goblet of fire, an inanimate magical object (which clearly can be tampered with), not able to be overruled by human decision by the ministry of magic?
