Recommend me a Linux distro
Hey, DRl! I am in need of a Linux distro for my laptop, but am unsure of which to choose. Currently on Windows 7x64. What I shall be doing in said distro is cooking up custom Android ROMs, some c++ programming, and a little bit of media playback such as music and movies. But mainly Android development and c++.
I have only dabbled in Ubuntu before, and it was an alright experience. But I know that there is much much more out there. Anyways, if you need any more information, just ask. Thanks!

Fix'd. Reasons why I should go with this one? I searched around a bit and found ArchLinux to be very Android-dev friendly and am tempted to go with that.

Arch is the one of the most customizable distros, but it's also expert-level. Don't go into that thinking you can configure it in a day. A linux-savvy friend of mine took two days, and he normally runs slackware. Mint is a nice balance between user friendliness and power. It's ubuntu based, but with a different group choosing which packages to install.

Something fun to set up, something totally customizable, something hard. *EDIT* Tried Arch. Brain exploded. lol

Re: Recommend me a Linux distro
I wouldn't suggest arch if you've got no linux experience. I've been using it for years but yeah, not simple to get into. <3 almost UNIX equivalent base. crunchbang (#!) is somewhere in between, you might like that quite a bit. "android dev friendly" basically just means "can run java tools and install android SDK easily + run emulator if needed". Every linux "distro" running X should be able to do that tbh, as java is obscenely portable and the android SDK only really depends on that. Get #! install netbeans grab the SDK and you're set.

Archbang is like basically everything described so far. It's Arch, it's easy, what more do you want? Communist.
