Cockatrice: An MTG online game
Project Description of Cockatrice wrote: Cockatrice is an open-source multiplatform software for playing card games, such as Magic: The Gathering, over a network. It is fully client-server based to prevent any kind of cheating, though it supports single-player games without a network interface as well. Both client and server are written in Qt 4. On that note, is anyone interested in joining me in a few games of Magic? I trust this community much more than many, so I figured that there was no better place to ask than here. My main goal here is to improve my deck as well as my overall understanding of Magic, seeing as I'm not too terribly experienced yet. Those who have yet to get it can get it here

I'd love to, the pictures on the cards in that game are really pretty.
Too bad I have no idea how. Is there a tutorial or something?

I'm in, time to brush of the beginner deck and see which cards worked for me. I should start doing this again on friday afternoons.

We should get some Fluxx going here, too. Pirates, Zombies, etc.

@YHTFLKC Just google it, its a tad hard to pick up at first (at least it is for me) but it shouldn't be too terribly hard.
@maart3n You used to play a lot?

Played a few games, hardly a pro player(unlike at yu-gi-oh, one of my friends was the national champ) But I think I get the basics.

Re: Cockatrice: An MTG online game
I understand some of it just by reading a bunch of cards. Is there a deck limit or anything? I picked out a bunch (~170) and it didn't stop me :3
Read most of the manual, I think I'm ready for a game.

I'll try to pull myself off of elements for a sec so I can look into this. :p. SO you have access to every card in the game right from the get go?
