How to load custom maps?
Hi, I downloaded Map Pack 3 from here: http://cc.thereviewpalace.com/mod/32I extracted all of the files into the appropriate folder and it appears to load them when the game boots up (I have B24), but I can't figure out how to get to them. Would someone please help? I also downloaded Unitec and DarkStorm. I can use the actors and weapons, etc. Are there custom maps that come with these mods, too? Thanks

Re: How to load custom maps?
You can play custom maps by doing a Skirmish, and selecting the appropriate activity.

Re: How to load custom maps?
Thanks for the reply. I don't have a "Skirmish" option. I only see "Scenario Battle" and "Campaign". I believe I am running B24. Am I missing something?

Re: How to load custom maps?
Wonkyth was giving you confusing information. The B25 is out, you can download it on your HIB page or from http://licensing.datarealms.com. That is an old version of the mod made for B23 so it doesn't work with B24/B25. You should go get the newest version for B24/B25 from the Scene Releases.

Ai caramba. Thanks for reminding me of that site. Yes, that one is probably horribly outdated. You can get it here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=12224

Re: How to load custom maps?
Thanks to everyone for their help. Unfortunately, I am still running into issues.
I downloaded Cortex Command from the HIB site and got ccsetup25-1.exe (looks like it should be B25 to me). I uninstalled CC from my machine and then installed using this newly downloaded setup file.
When I fire up the new installation of CC, I still only see "Scenario Battle" and "Campaign". I don't see any reference to "Skirmish".
When I look at the Readme.txt file under the CC folder, it says Build 24 at the top.
I tried going to the licensing page you suggested, but I don't have login credentials.
Am I doing something wrong? How can I tell if I have B25 installed? Should I be looking somewhere specific for the "Skirmish" selection? I thought it was on the main menu.

Re: How to load custom maps?
Scenario Battle = Skirmish. I'm sure you have B25.

Re: How to load custom maps?
You can find Skirmish Defense as an activity in Scenario Battle. People refer to it as "Skirmish" most of the time because that's the name it used in ye olde builds when the UI was quite different. The readme wasn't updated between B24 and B25, so it says the wrong version number.

Yeah, sorry for the confusing post, I think I misread a section of it...
