Post Re: What have you learned today?
They're not tremendously sturdy cases either, I learned a couple weeks ago.
I just got one recently and my brother was unplugging a headphone jack on the front panel with the power button, which sticks out oddly for some airflow feature. He was wiggling it around, and the system instantly lost power. Luckily all that happened as a result was I lost 20 minutes of progress on a minecraft game, as opposed to damaging brand new hardware or something.
Other than that concerning bit, This + a GTS 450 is working out really well for me so far. Although my standards might be somewhat lax after years of attempting gaming on a old low budget emachines, and my opinion certainly isn't one of experience when it comes to hardware.

This is relevant to why I've been inactive here recently, if anyone cares, HIB3 got me hooked on MC, I bought Portal 2 with the new computer, and I've been replaying games I already had, enjoying better graphics and performance. Also I had a password/email issue with my account on here and couldn't access it from the new computer, but as soon as I bothered to ask for help TLB took care of it like lightning.

I'm digressing a bit from the thread here, but does anyone know if rearranging SATA plugs could be functional yet problematic somehow? It was necessary to fit the new card in, so I just tried it, and it worked, but I'm still not sure if the arrangement is somehow unideal, inefficient, or harmful or anything.

I've learned that i'm horribly unaccustomed to alcohol. I got drunk after 2.5 beers. :C
I've also learned that beer can make people eat stinging nettles.

But aren't you a dane? Danes should be able to chug horrible amounts of alcohol without any visible effects.
Just a stereotype joke.

I learned that the Minecraft player guy, 'Steve', can carry the weight of a medium-size aircraft carrier should he fill his inventory with gold blocks, but can't carry 37 porkchops.

He was talking about Peter Noone, actually. He's known for being able to carry a lot of pork chops.

Today I learned that weather is now a word used to decide to do or not to do something.
