Not to disrespect what you said either, Torrent. I was strongly considering just waiting out the week, but caek could easily just read everything that happened when he comes back, and I have no intention of throwing you guys into any sort of combat, anyway.

So, let's continue, shall we?


Torrent (Gillian) (9)

You charge a few of your coins with your new powers, and they whirr to life, buzzing around in the air like bees. They start getting a little hyperactive and fly around your head so fast that they're practically a blur.

"Cool it on the buzzing, guys."

They obey, and slow down a bit.



Ociamarru (Nikolai) (1)

You walk along the path, looking for vermin along the way. You see a rabbit. Hey, that ain't a rat, but it'll do. You distort the time around the animal, accelerating it, forcing it to move forward. You feel like you've got it down, but then the area you're focused on expands by itself. You attempt to hold it back, but it fights against you, exploding into a sphere of accelerated time. You manage to counteract the effect by slowing time around your body, but you're hit by the wave so hard that you're knocked to the ground. You get an odd feeling like a spark is fizzling out in your mind, then your head begins aching horribly. You take a look around you. Besides the grass you're lying in, the entire area is now gritty dust and sand. There's no life left.

Holy ♥♥♥♥.




Tokochiro (Johni) (7)

You summon up a clone without much difficulty, and then high-five him. He gives you a look like,

Are you serious?

You ignore him and continue on your way. To Auid!
Hey, wait. Didn't you forget something? Oh yeah! Your sword! It's still missing! You look around a bit, and sure enough, it's lying in the shallows of the lake.

"Clone! Get my sword!"

He gives you the same Are you serious? look and disappears. What a jerk. You go over and pick it up yourself.

Right, where were we? Oh, yes! To Auid!



CaveCricket (Raphael) (5)

You focus for a bit, trying to visualize Calkoom in your head. Then, you give it a go. A chill runs down your spine as you feel yourself shifting.

"Hell ye- CAWW!"

What was that? You look at yourself. You seem to have taken on the form of a black kitten with a bird's head. You feel yourself tilting forward. An oversized bird head.



Adam (Adam) (5)

You try to teleport back to Auid, but instead, you find yourself sitting on top of the shrine. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You try to warp down, but you end up in midair in the same sitting position. You quickly teleport again, before you end up as a splat on the ground, and end up back to the shrine.

You decide maybe you should walk for now.



caekdaemon (Anderson) (ASSUMPTION) Assumption is basically my fancy word for "I take over your moves." I call it Assumption because I "Assume" your role while you're gone - not because you're ascending to heaven on shiny wings or anything like that.

You follow the rest of the party as they make their way back to Auid.

Game Events
The party makes it back to Auid to see a rather alien sight.

Everyone looks... happy. The town actually looks normal for once! It's as bustling as it always was, but there's not a person in sight who is arguing. It's... completely transformed.


MAP - Which I chucked together in five minutes FYI.


A = Ancients
AoA = Aritifacts of the Ages (A.K.A. Con Man's Place)
F = Fodderall
T = Training Place
Everything Else = Self Explanatory

Okay, forget rolling. Everyone is going to the same place - let's just make it a cutscene-y-ish thing.

The party heads to Ancients, hoping to find Mr. Quint so he can decode the new riddle they've been given.
But, upon arriving, they find that it is empty.

"Hey, where's Quint?"

Nowhere to be seen, apparently. Raphael clumsily paws his way up to a nearby table, nearly falling on his overly-heavy face, and transforms back into human form.
"Hey look. There's a note."
He picks it up and reads aloud.
"If the seven of you are reading this, I guessed correctly, and you have another riddle that needs be solved. Unfortunately, I will not be there to help you. I have urgent business that must be attended to, so I have left my shop and gone out to see it done. I have left this note to give you important information.

You must leave Auid immediately."


Raphael stops. Johni pipes up.

"Hey, is that it? Keep reading!"
Raphael squints his eyes and looks closely at the note.
"It's... all scrawled. Like he was in a hurry. Hang on." He continues slowly.

"Your mission is no longer unnoticed. You must leave, for your presence here is a danger to all those around you. With all haste, make your way out of town. Get away. Get to safety, and continue your quest. Lastly...."
Raphael speaks the last words in almost a whisper.


"Do not return to Colber."
