   |   Re: B25 first impressionsexcellent feedback and points! Especially the crash dump is helpful - can you explain under which circumstance that happened? The last autosave should be shortly before so you might be able to reproduce it. If so, please paste the metagames.rte/autosave.ini and explain exactly what to do to make it crash again pls!

   |   Re: B25 first impressionsunfortunately i didn’t try the campaingn, because i lack friends interested in this. my friends just play FPSs and RTSs. and assassin’s creed.
what i noticed, though, is that it doesn’t give you explanation what to do; i scanned the terrain several times with different budgets, trying to actually get into the fight before i noticed that you have to click the button in the lower right corner yet another time.

the new AI is good, it wasted me once when i didn’t bring ai reinfocements to the surface.

   |   Re: B25 first impressionsI got the game after B25 so I have no idea what it was like before. From what I read, the jetpack got nerfed or something, but it doesn't seem that bad when I played. Game is looking good so far at least.

   |   Re: B25 first impressionsWell, first run on B25, and there are two things that instantly caught my eye:
1)The AI is not an idiot. If a soldier has a sniper rifle, it will actually kill guys from a distance instead of waiting for the enemies being on its face.

2)The mine and mine disarmer are awesome.

Basically this is completely untrue B25 is substantially better than B24 in any stretch, the only real 'unoptimized' bit being the new metagame, which isn't even finished. Just play Skirmish like everyone has been for the past year.

   |   Re: B25 first impressionsI'm not sure if this is intentional, but the Linux build from the HIB 2 page doesn't have the metagame (same situation as B24), and the jetpack sound insanity is still there, which in my opinion is also a source of some of the game-breaking lag.
Of course, I understand that it's ported by a third party, but feedback is feedback, right?
