So i got the game with the humble bundle, and i'd like to keep it updated... i tried to register it but the site asks for a "gift code".

i have no such thing, nor a license key... what can i do?

For bundle purchasers all the links you need will be put on your personal HIB3 download page. All you need to do is check around here every so often to see if an update has been released, then go back to that page and the download link should have been updated as well. The "gift codes" are for people who purchased it outside the bundle.

The gift codes are for the humble bundle people, the people who bought outside the bundle have keys they use, apparently you will get your gift codes after the humble bundle three sale finishes.

thanks elifreak, that was my doubt. i wasn't sure i could have access to that download page for very very long, so i was asking how could i keep my game updated after that page is deleted(say, next year for example) because i don't think it'll last forever

I believe it should do. The email Humble sent you tells you you can download and re-download them at any time, now or in the future. Also, it seems the way Humble purchasers get their game updated is to redownload through the Humble downloads page, so that page really needs to stay accessible to you 'forever'.

Gift codes (soon to be renamed Download Voucher or something of the sort) are given to purchasers, so they can create an account, and WILL be given to HIB customers. License keys are not currently in use, but they are the default password to your account if you didn't change it (and you've been grandfathered in from our older licensing system).
