Buffalos, new graphics, what could possibly make this better?

Candy. That's what.
What's planned in the next version, besides (obviously) buffalo and updated art?

Bison, not buffalo. Wisent, more accurately. There'll also be cows and bulls, eventually, along with other fauna.
Glad you like the Bison, Contrary. Teasing it is of course encouraged, linkfan.

I've posted that everywhere important except KAGdev, more or less.

Uh next version off the top of my head new art (actors are actually acceptable quality now, parallax backgrounds, trees more interesting, many tile changes), hard dirt, and the bison (still WIP) along with a tutorial that we're going to make people pass before they can join. Rendering code is ~10x faster (not kidding) and we'll be tweaking combat etc in the short period of time after that.

Oh yeah and gold servers.

Potentially. It's going to be short and easy though. There's just too many fools in-game accidentally bombing the base.

That Snoopicuss guy is pretty cool.
I'd sub him but I'd rather not have my inbox filled with development for gorillagame.
Anyways, are we EVER going to get new classes?

So I strolled down the forums and noticed this.

Seen it before, but never tried it before, time to try it!

Maybe. Depends if we do a class tree for an expansion of WAR we've been talking about. We're going to do WAR first though. I think a proper class tree would be excellent simply because it gives players something to lose - their shiny new battle axe and war helmet, have to go all the way back to being a peasant -> less kamikaze and a proper loss from dying as opposed to the reward of free bombs and a better position on the battlefield (assuming a competent team). We'll see, in short.

I'm thinking that you should have to upgrade using gold, thus making gold much more useful. So, say to become the knight you are now your team needs 120 gold, but then everyone can be a knight?
So now not only do you need to capture the flag to win, but also the gold so you can have an advantage. This would also make any underground mine even moreso of a warzone, given the amounts of people who would be searching for gold. Just like in '49. :P

I think the class tree should work a bit like this
Archer starts with crossbow > gets better bolts > gets long bow > gets better arrows > gets better defense
Builder starts with slow pick > gets better pick > gets more defense > gets best pick
Knight starts with dagger > gets defense boost > gets shortsword > gets longsword > gets bombs

Each upgrade should cost more and more the more you upgrade.
So, upgrade 1 = 80 gold. Then it keeps getting more and more expensive and eventually the final upgrade costs 300 gold, but then the final upgrade is the best one. The best pick should mine stone 50 percent faster, better defense for the archer would be a strong chainmail that blocks one heart at a time, and bombs would be bombs. (ORLY? I thought bombs were pigs.)

BUT, each time you upgrade it upgrades every class so you don't have lower level archers complaining that their team has nothing but max level knights.

I can see how this could be quite unbalanced, but oh well.

I think KAG should stay simple.

If we really want upgrades, I think players should get them from score, and be able to spend them how they like.
(upgrades would reset upon death)
