Re: Brutality Mod
You have officially given me a mega-boner.
Also, you need to make a new thread with this.

Re: Brutality Mod
I made this for b24, It erases the team icons above their heads for every
EDIT: WHAT??!?!...
In the select team menu its fine but in game the thing is just white? Anyone know how to fix this?
Updated version, don't know why, but when you make it all black it is invisible in-game (ignore the black box in the team select menu...), also removed the ! marks when enemy's see you.
Download the second one, (larger file)

Re: Brutality Mod
It would be great if the maker of this mod would update it for B25, and see if they can add something to it, Its a great mod, and is basically what I want most from cortex command.

Re: Brutality Mod
Question:
Do you think that
> the gritty grey and dark and desaturated colors are better
or
> the bright blue and full and colorful colors from vanilla are better
?
By the way, the reason I haven't updated this is that I can't stand B24 or B25 - I've been playing B23. It's not like I'm missing out on anything.

Me and my mate disagree with you. I especially love the new AI. It's so... effective.

Re: Brutality Mod
For me it lags constantly because of all the enemy actors and MOs, and I can't get anywhere with those puny jetpacks, and the guns are very ineffective. Because they are so inaccurate you have to spam bullets constantly; you can't pop off two or three shots and take out a guy on the other side of the screen even if you aim perfectly.
And because it takes actors forever to die it turns into a painful game of attrition. Cover is pretty much pointless. You just have to sit there and wait for death after you've been meat-mauled sufficiently.

Re: Brutality Mod
Weird. It lags less for me than B24/B23 did. I've modded the jetpacks to be more powerful, and I don't see how the guns would be ineffective. If anything, they're more effective to me. Especially the Ronin weapons. The Tommygun is worth buying now.

Re: Brutality Mod
To be honest I'm not comparing it to vanilla B23. I haven't played vanilla B23 in over a year.
So that might be my problem.

Re: Brutality Mod
I vote Crow wrote: the gritty grey and dark and desaturated colors are better for the brutality mod. Better for creeping around, and it differentiates it from the vanilla content. Also, I'd like it for B25 so I don't have to register the copy when I play it from my flash drive.

Re: Brutality Mod
We'll see how it goes. I'm on a mac now so some things are weird.
Stupid macs delete original folder contents when you copy a directory over another with the same name, so I'd be inclined not to make a 'stamp' installation thing.
Also I don't have a good image editor. If anyone knows of something free that is essentially MSpaint for macs, I would be eternally greatful.
