				  Doom

Hey, everybody! I recently discovered Doom 1, and completely adore it. I purchased a copy of Ultimate Doom, and I'm having tons of fun with it. From Wikipedia: Quote: Doom (occasionally typeset as DOOM[1]) is a landmark 1993 first-person shooter computer game by id Software. It is widely recognized for popularizing the first person shooter genre, pioneering immersive 3D graphics, networked multiplayer gaming, and support for custom expansions (WADs). Its graphic and interactive violence[2] has also made Doom the subject of much controversy reaching outside the gaming world.
With a third of the game (9 levels) distributed as shareware, Doom was played by an estimated 10 million people within two years of its release, popularizing the mode of gameplay and spawning a gaming subculture; as a sign of its effect on the industry, games from the mid-1990s boom of first-person shooters are often known simply as "Doom clones". According to GameSpy, Doom was voted by industry insiders to be the greatest game of all time in 2004.[3] I find it one of those games that is very fun and addicting, even with is somewhat low graphics, like Minecraft or something. I usually play on the "Ultra-Violence" difficulty. It's pretty fun, I find it to be even more fun that most modern first person shooters, it's simple yet exciting gameplay gets me genuinely absorbed in it from the moment I start playing. I've played Doom 3 before, but I'm glad I found the originals as well. So, in lack of any better words: DOOM. LET'S TALK ABOUT DOOM.

I pretty much like most games of idSoftware.
Doom is one of my favorite games. I used to have them but I lost them at some point, and that sucks, but still, there are many flash versions of it on the internet, and there are even cellphone versions!
Oh yeah, and I'm desperately trying to get Doom 3, but I haven't seen a single store that sells it.

						Doom 3 is on Steam.
Doom is fun. Difficulty really picks up after the first episode.

Yeah, aside from the music, another great thing about the game is looking for secret rooms by running along the wall doing "ugn-ugn-ugn-ugn". It's somewhat hard to get a true copy of Doom 1 or 2, but you can sometimes find a disk on ebay. And Geti, that clip is lovely as well.

I can't get money into steam, I don't have access to any of the payment methods.
And that's true, there's nothing funnier than finding secrets on Doom.

To be fair, that Duke Nukem was a pretty bad 2d sidescrolling game. I still have that on disk funny enough.

I absolutely loved Duke Nukem when I was small. And a few years ago, I found the floppy from some dark corner of our house and re-played it. I love that game.

Best way to get DOOM 1 and 2 is on Xbox Live Arcade. Seriously entertaining games, and the first FPS I ever played. DOOM 3 isn't as fun, but still decent. DOOM 4 is in development as well.

I found Doom 3.5 to be more fun than Doom 3. Sure, you didn't get the extra-fun Flashlight weapon, but you got a (pretty shitty at times) TK gun.
