I really need help on my Captain America. It's really bad. The helmet is the biggest problem, and the head, too.

Help, pl0x.

Hi c:

I took the liberty of making you an edit to demonstrate where I think you can go with this.

First, bump up the brightness of the helmet. The main problem with the helmet is that the values are so close together that it doesn't have a readily discernable form. Bumping it up to the blue ramp would allow you greater variation, and the blue is much more representative of Captain America imo. Second, there are details on the helmet which could spice it up, like the rim or little metal bits.

On the head, I just made the jaw stronger and stuff like that, adding more contrast etc. I didnt know if it was supposed to be a metal strap around the jaw or what but I just kept it looking like gray stubble.

Really, what you have is a great start, it just needs some polishing!

Yeah, I don't remember having used the line tool. You will generally need the control the pencil will give you.

Wow, I exclusively use line tool ^_^
Guess just cause I can do slim sexy diagonals.

EDIT: to avoid double posting...
Obviously WIP, want to improve on it. It's supposedly going to be a light bomber... with a tank hull. Based off the Panzer I, with a Kugelblitz turret, and plasma engine thingys.

Ah, fair enough. When I sprite I do a lot of single pixel adjustments and stuff, so the pencil really suits me.

Line tool can place single pixels as well can't it?

It's especially easy in MSPaint to use.

I use the pencil, sometimes I use the curve line tool too. I don't understand, it take you about the same amount of time to draw a line with the pencil.

Agh, I can't get the Bouncer Cannon to look good. I need a bit of help.
Place a few official Dummy sprites alongside yours, and notice the differences. My spottings are that your outlines do not have as much variation and contrast, and are missing the darker tones that appear in the Annihilator. The middle section also lacks detail due to a lack of outline and contrast.

It still needs more contrast and darker colors around the back and front.

I worked on making these better, and these are the results. What else could I do to make them better?

Also you may want to zoom in while looking at them, because they look pretty bad whenever they aren't in the same res as CC.

EDIT: The shotty is supposed to be home-made, and the revolver is silenced. So if you're going to edit it keep that in mind.
