...angle a muzzle flash.

I'm messing with my old Kain Highwind actor. I'm just trying to add a pointing blue glow effect as the muzzle flash to his lance when "fired"(null sprite so only the glow flash is seen on firing). However it stays horizontal no matter the angle of the lance. I remember reading something that you can't angle it, but I couldn't be sure.

Also, if it can't be angled, is there a way around it? Like having the lance fire an emitter that emits a particle with the glow attached to it?

So rusty on this stuff.....

Wouldn't it be easier to just sprite a angled muzzle flash, or am I misunderstanding the question? If you're talking about making a glow pointing the way it is going. I seem to remember that being impossible.

Couldn't you just make the glow fired with an AEmitter and 0 velocity.

Yeah pretty much that. I'm guessing it's just because the game doesn't rotate glows huh. Bummer.

You COULD do some crazy fakery with multiple ball shaped glows on a MOSRotating.

Effect I was trying to add at the end of it when fired: Image (scaled down of course).

Don't think any number of fakery glows would be nearly as cool looking =(

Hmm, this won't be entirely accurate unless you did like 180 glows (360 including flipped) and an equal amount of corresponding MOPixels, but I think you could make a Lua script that gets the aim/fire/emission angle (depending on how you wanna do it) and emits whatever MOPix you want to go with said angle.
