Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia (Roll #50)
Continuing!
(Oh, and maps are for those with weak imaginations. Besides, you seriously think I could lay out all that info into a neat little package and still keep a wild, unpredictable story going? Heck no! I need the uncertainty.)Adam (7)
"Well, it was nice meeting you, sir.""You sure ya don't have any other pets?""Quite sure."He almost pulls you back in, but you dodge his hand and push your way out the door. Phew. You're glad to get away from that creepy clerk.
You turn about and head into Ernesto's Liquor. Pushing open the door, you turn to your right and see a rather large man putting up a sign that says, "Closed."
Wait. This was the same man that fought with Raphael and Johni. You also recall that you attacked him as well....
Maybe it's time to get out of here...
"Hey... do I know you?" the man begins saying.

You get out of the water and head back into town. After a bit of looking around, you see Adam leave this place called "Fodderall."
You guess that more of your friends may be in there, and walk in casually.
You look around the shop. There are several cages, and many, many jars, each containing some sort of powder or liquid. What is this place? You turn to ask the clerk, but he's not there. He seems to have walked into the back room. Your party isn't in here either. The room is wholly deserted except for the PURPLE LIZARD FLYING THROUGH THE AIR AT YOU~!

You start walking in the general direction of where Anderson went, but you soon find yourself stuck in a mob of people and pressed against the wall of a shop that you hadn't seen before.
You look inside. Hey! Gabriel's in there!

You pull back your hammer with steely concentration, letting your rage and hate towards the dummy coalesce into a single point where the weight of your weapon holds your arms back behind your head. Then you let the string snap.
The dummy
explodes into a hundred fragments of wood, and each one of them flies off in a different direction. They cover the ground and sit on the shelves, and a cloud of dust settles over the room.
Sadly, that dummy won't be of any more use. (Your aim has improved! +1 to Attacking Rolls that aim for a specific point!)
CaveCricket (11)
You walk into "Artifacts of the Ages."
The man at the counter loses a smirk that he had on his face and quickly puts away of bag of something that jingles merrily as it moves. He greets you.
"Welcome! Welcome! We sell the most precious artifacts, the most potent magical stones, and the most useful incantations... all guaranteed to work! You won't find offers for items like these anywhere else!"You take a look around the room. It is filled with bronze statues, long wooden staves decorated with gems, large scrolls, and oddly shaped rocks. They all have labels on them, explaining what they do, and how much they cost.... You almost gasp out loud when you see the prices. 6000 L. for a jar?! Supposedly, it sucks out people's souls. Yeah, right. You stick your hand into the jar.
The clerk quickly says,
"Oh no! Don't touch that! The magic is very dangerou-" You turn his way with the jar on your hand. He gives a fake look of surprise, then says,
"Hm. Perhaps it does not work the way I think it does." He quickly snatches the jar away and puts it behind his desk.
This guy is so obviously a con-man... it's unthinkable how anyone could fall for his tricks.
But according to the happily jingling purse at his side, they have.

You take a look around town for a job board, but you can't seem to find one. You begin to wonder what kind of jobs these overly argumentative people have.
They'd make excellent lawyers.
Gabriel suddenly comes out of the shop that he was in, and shouts out,
"Hey! Everybody! I found the place!"Apparently, he found the place. The shop he's standing under is titled,
"Ancients."
