We already talked about this. He disabled the feature, but apparently you can enable it with Lua.

Anyways, a mod should probably delete these few posts.

I guess the fact that the forums are so inactive at this time of day works to our advantage in this matter.

I already removed the script from the forum. And since it destroys itself when used the infected versions shouldn't have it anymore. Still someone may make it from scratch as I have, but that requires quite a bit of lua skills.

Yes but now we have proved it is possible, others might want to try it too, and they may not have good intentions.

We've known that you can enable I/O with Lua for months. Script kiddies are no more likely to start making virus mods now than they were when it first became publicly known. These guys made a harmless joke and brought a security problem to Data's attention - I don't think they deserve to be accused of anything other than that.
Also, Nonsequitorian, for the record, I was actually talking about the online play joke that Grif, Dauss and I did a year ago. This one, clearly labelled "yes this is a joke" and yet still confusing people to this very day.

Alright, It appears I found this thread a bit late, It would have been incredible to experience the fear of having the guy in my CC game. I think that you guys did a very good job, using some wackylol lua script to actually install something, (At least that's what I understand it's doing, I didn't read the whole thread.) is pretty damn cool.

I could feel the fear of the posts. I even experienced it looking over them.
My conclusion is that we should delete all traces of this thread, and certain modders would put this in their "products", along with a sound file that plays this whenever he's spawned.

Oh, apparently I read the last post as "2012" instead of 2011. My mistake, lol.
