Re: Steam Free2Play games Apparently (in their FAQ) you can buy ANY item from the Mann. Co Store and be upgraded to a Premium account. And the only thing that previously paying players get (apart from a larger inventory, unobstructed crafting and gifting) is a hat.
A goddamn hat.
Yeah I know how much TF2-Valve loves their hats but that's just bull♥♥♥♥. At least, y'know, give the Premiums a little more? Like, VIP-only access to community stuff? Or certain gametypes? I dunno, it just doesn't seem enough to me.
And for the record I bought it in the Orange Box about 3 years ago.
No I'm not happy.

I'd say 90% of the people who are going to buy TF2 own it already, and if the only reason they couldn't play it was because they didn't want to pay you've already had a huge bonus they didn't get.
What is this bonus you ask?
THREE WHOLE ♥♥♥♥ YEARS MORE PLAYING TIME THAN THEM.
Most games don't even LAST three years! TF2 is coming up to four!
Do you honestly look at players with the Gold or Primeval warrior badges and go "Oh, that guy is something special look at that badge" ?
I don't, why would you even care how long someone else has been playing?
