At least they didn't opt for some cartoony zapping effect and it looks like he's getting the chair instead of being a Loony Toon that was struck by lightning.

Idk if the battery would do enough electricity to have electricity arc all over the zombies body it should be invisible like your tazeing the zombie don't you all think so too?

A car battery only supplies 12 volts. 12 volts at a pretty big wattage, but only 12 measly volts. Unless the character also built a power inverter then it'd be rather useless. that and the fact that there would have to be 2 points of contact with the victim, in order to have it do anything, even with enough juice.

This last part is the reason why tazers have two spikes. One with the positive polarity and the other with the negative. When the victim is struck by both then they will be shocked.

TL;DR The sword or knife or whatever the crap it is wouldn't work without a lightning generator powerful enough to arc the electricity to the ground through the zombie.

Except it was never supposed to be perfectly realistic in the first place. The game's about a ♥♥♥♥' zombie outbreak, for christ's sake!

Post Re: Dead Island
If there was some kind of actual zombie outbreak I want it to be as realistic as Dead Islands lol

On Topic: Dead Island should have sufficient amounts of pistol ammo because of Police officers and some shotgun ammo that would add realism.

They're not having a ton of ammo for balance reasons. Nobody's going to throw balance out the window just for the sake of realism.

That's why I prefer the disease/virus type over the re-animated dead type.

Heh.
I think it'd be possible with a rabies-like virus but that'd be a whole 'nother kettle of fish.

Not to mention people lock up their ammo, and would also tend to take it with them in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

Also, although I'm pretty sure this is just weeks after it all started, what would be the first thing people tried against the zombies? By now, most of the ammo would be used up. What I want to know is why there doesn't seem to be any sort of a military response to the outbreak.

I think this might warrant a 'zombie discussion' thread to keep all this out of the discussion for the game itself.

Maybe since it's an Island and there's no escape(that's what the military thinks) they'll just leave it and blockade it with navy around it so no people will dock at the island to be mauled by zombies or spread the infection.

The Military could be using the island as a test of the virus, and all you could know is the virus has infected the island for some messed up scientists to test there creation  .
