I noticed the 'newest member' display down the bottom, and, upon further inspection of the member lists, most of the names look... randomly generated. Are these people's accounts or are they... fake?

Apparently they are actual people registering with random names but they just post spam and crap like that, so they get banned pretty quick. I think these people are hired just to pass the captcha tests but then turn into bots. Something like that anyway.

They're spambots. The only human part is that the Captcha codes are often farmed out to humans to solve.

Hi, I am spungypirate. Been here for a year or two. Almost purely lurking, dabbled in some bad modding and stuff for a few weeks then went back to quietly reading things. I'm going to be honest Macaroni. Getting into the seriously good mods involves LUA. That's gonna be some work if you wanna be a great modder, but I'm rootin` for ya. Ask around how to do stuff, there are plenty of threads you can learn from so make sure you search around before posting.

You can mod incredibly complex stuff without needing a piece of lua. Examples of this are AAL, WizCorp and the Angry Angry Rainbow Cannon.
