Who here has a job? What is it, and who enjoys it?
Commission artist :P I enjoy it a lot, as it fits around uni much better than other work, not to mention pays better.
However, when I'm feeling poor (and paid artwork is sparse) I find a job at a coffee shop most of the time. Less fun, more reliable pay (~$15 an hour).
I've also worked in a chemist as a delivery boy (~$8/hr when I was underage, cash in hand), and a cafe as a kitchen hand (~$12/hr + delicious baked goods).

I'm a food runner at a fancy restaurant. I love my job. I'm allowed to do what's probably the equivalent of sexual harassment in any other business establishment, I make $10-15 an hour, I barely do anything for the majority of my shift, and I work 3 hour shifts, 4 tops. It's awesome.

Thanks Geti I get it.

My cousin gave me a job a a Dairy Queen he owns. $6 an hour. sadface

On the plus side I got to eat as much ice cream as I wanted and all of the other employees were girls.

On downside all the employees were girls. And I got fat(ter) (from all the ice cream) and most of the girls were kind of chubby (from all the ice cream), which I think people tried to eat as much of as possible as a sort of revenge for the shitty wages.

Also I once worked as a paperboy and when I calculated it it came out to something like $2.50 an hour.

You got an actual job at a DQ and they pay sub-minimum wage? Huh. That's highly illegal. How old are you?

16. I was probably like 14 or 15 at the time? Everyone else had to go through with it. They call it "training wage" and it's all you get for a whole year of working.

If it's family-owned you can pay them whatever the hell you want - although cousin seems to be pushing it, eh, you never know. And if you got tips, then you don't need to be paid minimum wage.

IT student worker at my uni, minimum wage ($7.25) but I do next to nothing the entire time I'm there, so I'm not complaining. Not to mention, they don't get at all bent out of shape at time off as long as you can give them a solid excuse as to why (and ask for someone to cover your shift).

Sadly, couldn't work this summer since I'm taking a month off for summer school at a different uni, but under normal circumstances I'm guaranteed work during any full time the school's open.

As I'm going to take a year out, to look for a job and decide if I really want to go to uni, I'm looking for a job.
However, every single thing on the jobsite seems to be either minimum wage, or prior experience/specialised training.
